Worst hotel ever with the most unprofessional staff. Rooms should be condemned. Amenities are nonexistent. There is nothing luxurious about this motel.

My favorite is Walmart Super 1 alot of restaurants and alot of shops right in New Iberia Louisiana i would never ever kill
This was a fun, unique hotel experience when it was opened. To remain fun and unique, things have to evolve and progress. The Derek is just a faded, threadbare, under-staffed, poorly executed attempt at boutique hospitality. The front desk staff is bored and disinterested. The poor guys working as parking valets are stuck with an inefficient traffic flow and a poorly located garage. What is labeled as a restaurant could easily be replaced by three vending machines and a microwave—a cup of coffee before 8:00am is not possible... read more

The staff was not helpful. The room was dirty, random hair in the bed. Dirt in the bathroom. Amenities were charged with a fee. No breakfast Offered. The fridge was tiny and full of overcharged items. There was no microwave. Parking was expensive and a hike. The guests were very loud and disruptive all night. You cannot reach the front desk because the machine says there are 20 odd calls ahead of yours. It was beautiful ❤️ I was amazied
Where to begin? Our hotel room appeared clean when we checked in but we quickly realized it was filthy. There was a big glob of the last guests conditioner and dirty feet prints in the shower. There also were still old rose petals left on the floor. The must disgusting remnant was a lovely streak of dried blood on the sheets. No, it was not a stain. The power went out at one point and the cable never worked again for the rest of the night. This used to be a super nice hotel and I’m disappointed to say we won’t be returning.
