Rented a car for ten days. Returned a day early. I was charged for three days extra. Very shady company.ended up paying $2300 for what should have been $800. I had to get new credit card because they kept charging bogus charges.

So here is my experience I rented a car in Florida and drove to DC where I got stopped for expired plates. I was lucky enough to get a warning. When I called hertz they made me drive the car to the airport for an exchange. At the airport they said the plates weren't expired and the guy wouldn't even go up to return and check the plates. He was nasty and should be fired. this mess took 4 hours of my 2 day trip. Upon returning the car the mgr gave me a $100.00 credit for the expired plates mess. My vehicle was hit while I was at work. My insurance went through hertz to get me a rental. I asked for a small vehicle. The male at the marion il location told me it was a small suv. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle the male said he never said it was a small sum but a mid size. My husband was with me and heard him tell me what size it was. Just got ripped off at West Palm Beach airport today by local Hertz manager Trina Zaldivar. I hope I got the last name correct, as she refused to give it to me, had to look it up. So much for corporate ethics Hertz... I booked the largest most expensive elite/luxury SUV on Expedia and got a $150 "upgrade" charge and ended up paying $300 for an old Suburban. They are the worst. They don't even have a car after you make a reservation. They could car less if you get your car or not. They don't have cars available when you get there for your reservation time. They expect you to sit there for hrs waiting for a car to be returned. They are rude and how they run their business is disgraceful. Bottom line run from this company and any others companies that Hertz owns. The only thing this company does is take advantage of people and upset them.

Will never rent from this company again. Flight was delayed 12 hours at ATL. Went to get a rental and they said they wouldn't do a one way. I had no choice but to rent the car and change the drop off location. Then charged me another $200 on top of the original fee for going 150 miles. Terrible company that will extort their customers.

I will NEVER from Hertz again !!! I rented a car on 9/2/21 and returned it on 9/9/21 I have a return receipt well evidently the person who was suppose to put it in the system as returned didn't do their job and I received a letter 2 weeks later stating that they were going to file charges against me because I didn't return the vehicle. I went to the office that I rented from and she looked it up and said it was a computer error and that it was all set. Renter beware! Read the fine print. I reserved a Hertz rental through autorentals.com. I have rented many times thru this website. All of my previous reservations were held without a charge on my credit card. I reserved the Hertz rental car expecting to pay at the desk when picking up the car. My credit card was immediately charged. Never had this happen before. Their policy is if you can cancel with 2 day of booking you receive a full refund. After that they charge $100,00 to cancel. Made a reservation with Dollar car rental to be picked on June 2nd. I paid for the rental in advanced to get the lower rate. My payment was billed Hertz who owners Dollar. The rental pick up was at Baltimore Washington airport. When arrived to the car rental sight Dollar rental was closed and lights off. They were the only one closed.
