I reserved a rental on 12/01/22 for 12/23-27/22, and I paid for my rental and insurance during that time. They called me on 12/23/22 around 11 in the morning, which is the day I was suppose to leave to tell me they didnt have a car for me! So after 30 minutes on the phone with them, they told me they will have a suburban for me at 4. I get there the time I suppose to and they still didnt have a vehicle for me! First I would like to say if I could give Hertz a lower rating I would...I am the Office Manager to a towing company that was dispatched by the authorities due to Hertz vehicle being used in a theft. We towed the vehicle to our lot and it sat in storage for several weeks. Hertz paid the storage fees and ,hook fees that was owed on this vehicle...Then they wanted us to tow it to a location which we agreed for a fee...Hertz then paid that fee which was a separate invoice from the original tow from the authorities , however in ... read more

Hertz rental car company is horrible. I kept going back due to the cheaper price. I refused to ever use them again. Last experience for so awful and down right the worst customer service I have ever received. Accusatory verbiage, going into the back room while I was at counter and loud laughter regarding my situation heard from where I was standing. Was hoping to give a zero star if I could, but I had the worst experience ever during my trip to ********/ **********. I was given a rental car to utilize and the next day I got a flat tire, called roadside assistance and told me there would be a charge for the tire change. During my emergency moment I went ahead and gave the OK to change it since I was going to be needing it. NEVER EVER USING HERTZ AGAIN!!!!! ??????On a family vacation in ******** and our rental has died TWICE. Weve been stranded two times waiting for AAA to jump us. Completely disrupting our vacation, missing reservations and having to cancel plans. we had to drive all the way back to the Hertz in the ******** airport to trade in our car (which died for a third time as soon as we parked it), and we were greeted by ********* who was not only unapologetic, but completely rude to us. rented a car for a trip in ****** ****** i was charged 450-500$ for vehicle and insurance when i showed up to pick up car in ****** they wanted to charge me 500$ more for insurance , that would of put my rental for 5 days almost a 1000$ for a mid size car when i refused to pick up car and go with a different company the next day they told me i could not get a ride back to airport needless to say they gave me a ride back and i caught a cab and rented a car the next day for 385$ from budget i understand that they need to upsel... read more

Worst rental experience Ive ever had. She wouldnt allow me to see my rate until I ran my credit card. Based on the website, the rate for the particular vehicle I needed was around $40 per day. They charged me $95.58 per day, without insurance or anything else; just the rental fee. If I had the time to go somewhere else I would have, but I needed the car then for work. She said I could call a number to try and change the rate, but it never allowed me to speak with anyone. This place is an absolute racket.

The last week of October 2022, I rented a car from Dollar (which had been acquired by Hertz) at the ********* airport. The check in process went fine, the desk agent was pleasant, and the car was as I reserved and was a nice car with a full tank of gas.On my last day (Oct 31st), I refueled the car a couple of minutes prior to returning it at the ********* station recommended by the desk agent.
