I had the worst experience. I prepaid a reservation for 1/14, and car was not available. I don’t recommend this car rental. I went to Atlanta to see my sick mom and I lost have a day because did not honor my prepaid reservation. They requested extra $500 deposit and other requirements not explained at reservation time. HORRIBLE . Still disputing refund.

I made a reservation and paid up front for it. On day of pickup I get to the rental location and are told their are no cars available. I called corporate and told me their are no cars available anywhere in the area. I request to cancel my clearly useless reservation and was told it would take 7 to 10 business days to return my money. This was a horrible experience and will never ever use this rental company again.

I tried to rent a car from this the through my insurance and the local ************* collision center and after two months of cruel treatment and discrimination I gave up and had to ****************. During the two months attempting to rent from Hertz I was talked down to, hung up on, forced to hold for long periods of time and then hung up on, I was told I was to wait on a manager who never picked up the phone (not once but several times) and then hung up on then as well and all while this treatment is occurring, I'm still ... read more

The Hertz located in *********, ** is unprofessional. I reserved a vehicle online on January 13th for a pick-up on January 14th at 9 a.m. It wasn't until I arrived there at 9 ***, that I was informed that they had no vehicles available. The clerk was apologetic and informed me that she was just about to call me before I arrived. Luckily, ********** ****** was in the same proximity and I was able to rent a vehicle with ease. I will be sure to never use Hertz again. Thanks but no thanks.

Friends be aware when you book a car in hertz @ *********.please do not book your car in premium or any other package because even though you book in premium car package they are gonna give you the compact car.Please ********************* I booked a car in premium for a week in car, but they gave me a car from compact package it was a waste of money, I regretted a lot for taking a package in premium.

Took an hour to get the rental car we had reserved on 12/30. They "upgraded" ** for "free" to an SUV because they ran out of full size cars. We returned the car to ********************************** on 12/31. Got a call four days later that it had never been checked in and they were charging us for the additional days. Resolved this with a quick call. Get the final receipt and they charged us $20 in fuel despite having returned it with a full fuel tank. Extremely disappointed! I had booked a Tesla a month before our rental date for my husband as a Christmas present. Hertz was aware of this and very accommodating saying they would even give us an upgrade to a Tesla Y for him as it is a present. I thought this was very kind. HOWEVER, when we arrived we were given a Tesla 3 (which is fine...not a problem) but it only had 48% charge. It had only 48% battery on it and we were planning to go to Banff straight away. Rented a car in December and added the insurance to it. Unfortunately I got into an accident a few days later and the car had to be towed. I proceeded to fill out all the necessary paperwork and turn it in hours later to the Hertz desk at ***. I gave them the police report as well as the towing information on where the car could be found. I spoke with a lovely woman supervisor and she proceeded to tell me I had "NOTHING MORE TO WORRY ABOUT" since I got the insurance on the car and I had turned in all the paperwork. I rented a vehicle at the Nashville International airport yesterday to drive back to Chicago. I left Nashville at 11am today. When I got to Kentucky the vehicle started to smoke and leak fluid. The engine then cut off. I called Hertz for assistance. They picked up the car through USAA and assured me that I’d be able to get another vehicle at the Louisville airport.
