ZERO RATING! You should have a customer review rating of zero because that's what the Hertz Rental at the Hartsfield Airport, Atlanta, GA deserve. I picked up my car rental on 5/23 scheduled for return on 5/30. On 5/25 the car broke down, completely dead. We called the 800 phone number for Hertz road side emergency assistance, as always, on hold for almost an hour before someone answered the phone. One star is one star too many. Absolutely terrible company. We had a reservation through a third-party app, canceled it and rebooked a new rental over the phone directly with Hertz. Showed up today to get the car and the office was not open. An employee showed up 30 minutes late and turned away SIX people with reservations because they had "no cars." Hertz customer service told us every lie in the book -- there are no cars; there are no cars in a 50-mile radius; we have to call from the counter on our own cell phone and hand... read more

If I could give them a zero I would. I rented a car with them and now cant go on the vacation so I needed to cancel the rental car. I cancelled the car 2 weeks ahead of time and was still charged a $100 cancelation fee. I also called the number provided in my email to cancel and the lady on the phone was extremely rude she said she quote "didn't have time for my phone call" and ended the conversation by saying "don't call back" Terrible customer service. We go on a lot of trips and will NEVER use Hertz again.

My daughter rented a car from Hertz while in Vegas. She returned the car to the airport as scheduled, and boarded her plane. For over 2 weeks after returning home to Jersey we received calls from Hertz that the car had not been returned. After multiple phone calls to an out-sourced (not the U.S.) customer service agency we were told each time it would be looked into and still the calls came. My wife reserved a rental car and paid fully on line. She arrived at the designated pick up time and was told that they have no cars available and there was nothing they could do. When I reached out to complain, their response was sorry but "our fleet is typically more than sufficient to meet confirmed reservations". "Typically" being able to honor fully paid reservations is really poor customer service. I would rate them a zero if I could.I booked a car in *****, ******. The final cost after checking out was about 110 dollars for a single day including insurance.On arrival they claimed I didn't choose any insurance. The person checking me out didn't speak a lot of english and I didn't speak a lot of ******, I decided to bite the bullet for the sake of ease and purchase more insurance then and there. Worst experience ever !! I wish I went to Enterprise. I paid in advance just for them to tell me they dont have any cars available. My credit card was charged on the 30th of April and almost 30 later I still did not receive my refund. They have terrible customer service and basically lied to me about my refund being processed even I called the 1st time. I called Friday 5/20 to review my charges as they did not match what the representative in ******* ****** told my husband! I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and waited on hold. Was met with no one is available, I said I would continue to hold. I held again for approx **** min and was again told no one available. Hertz is horrible and dishonest. I rented a car and when I turned it in they charged me for "damage" which was a few scratches on the right side. This in spite of the fact that the scratches were already there and they had pictures of the preexisting damage in their system. I protested to Hertz customer service but they charged me anyway. I will never rent from Hertz again.
