Boy, how times have changed at Hertz. I've been a Gold member for years, and just returned a suburban and had a disappointing experience with the product. Below is the survey information I submitted back to Hertz if your interested. I would suggest going elsewhere. We booked a car almost 2 weeks in advance. The day before we received a confirmation from Hertz of our booking. But the day of (3 hours before), they called us saying that they did not have a car available for us. This left us stranded in a city we are not from with no car and our hotel was 3 hours away. Prices for rentals were at least triple they were when we originally booked. I had a car rental confirmed and ready to go for Monday morning. Monday morning comes.....no car. So I call them and there is no answer. I called the corporate number, and then they called the local office. No answer. No voicemail machine, no anything at all. I called three times, no answer. The only reason I didn't go to the Hertz building itself is because I didn't have a vehicle to make the drive. Horribly disappointing!! I wish I could give zero stars. I rented a car Hertz in Honolulu, Hawaii (Koapaka location) while I had some work done on my car. I waited over 40 minutes (even though I was only the 2nd person in line) because they didnt have enough cars and they needed to clean the car they rented to me. The same day, I had to bring the car back because the trunk couldn't close. A few days later, the car couldn't start and the battery died while I was out. If I could give zero stars I would...my daughter has had the car for 2 months but Subaru is paying for it because they have her car. Cory Pagan that works at the Ocala Hertz was rude and arrogant and would not let her rerent the car. She had to go pay for it amd then rerent it. Fortunately, she had a friend there that they did rent the car to and she was able to get a car...I have let corporate Subaru know of the situation and they were not happy and I hope they pull their contract from Hertz. Poor customer service.

Awful company. Terrible customer service. Brittney in merrillville Indiana should never ever work with customers. Terrible person. Terrible company. Still no refund after britttney in merrillville Indiana cancelled my car without my permission bc she was irritated with me. What an awful company. Negative 1000 stars.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY! This rating is a zero! Stay away from Hertz Car Rental. On 2/20/21, I returned my rental to the Bush IAH location in Houston, TX and forgot an item in the car. The item was a small silver carry on bag that I left on the floor of the front passenger side. As I exited the shuttle from the rental center to the terminal, I noticed I forgot the bag and immediately had someone to retrieve for me so I would not miss my flight. I have full coverage insurance with AAA including rental car up to 30 days. They sent me to go pick up a full size car from Hertz, Folsom California location due to my car collusion. After l arrived, the rental person at Hertz told me there was no clean car to give you. I told him l confirmed with your office the time to come. He told me that if l want the car you have to wait half an hour to clean it. I ended up waiting an hour and half. On the day of return the car l washed the car inside out. NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I wish I had looked at these reviews first horrible comustoner service. Charged me the smoking fee. I dont even smoke. The employees at the manassas location are lisrs andvertmy rude. This company should be closed down. So much more to my review but to much to type. There liars and dont know how to run a business need to be fired. I dont even want to give them 1 star
