1. Car wasn't ready when we arrived to pick it up. Waited almost 40 mins to get it. 2. The car they gave us broke down as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot. 3. The replacement car they gave us had not been cleaned (trash still inside from last renter). Also was not corona cleaned like advertised. 4. Put us 2 hrs behind on our trip. 5. Hertz double charged my card. Then told me they were not going to be able to give me a full refund on second charge (even after they admitted guilt and said it was the fault of Hertz) it... read more

I rented a car from Hertz at the Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. Upon arriving to my destination some 90 minutes away, I get out and realize the right front 1/4 panel of the car is falling off!! It has some sort of glue in the areas where it has broken loose. I spent well over an hour on hold with "EMERGENCY roadside assistance." ON HOLD....make sure you read that.....with EMERGENCY roadside assistance. Finally I was instructed to drive the car back to the airport and exchange it for another one. Limb fell and shattered my sunroof during a storm. The entire headliner was soaked and my car guy said it would take 2-3 weeks to fix, the entire roof/top would have to be replaced. Made the mistake of contacting Hertz. First two people I spoke to at the call center were incredibly rude. One of whom huffed and puffed through the whole call, obviously inconvenienced by having to do her job/make an appointment. We were given a set charge for our car rental. However, we were charged a second time with a higher amount and no reason as to why our amount increased. I called customer service- Raiatea- and was told we'd get our money back within 5-7 business days. It has passed 7 business days and I am not getting a response back from her. She told me to email her if I had any problems. I have emailed her twice with no response. It has been a frustrating experience.

My rental wouldn't start this morning and I have spent the ENTIRE day trying to get a replacement. I sat on hold for 1 hour and 15 mins, the first time I called. They sent fme a link for a Lyft to pickup a replacement rental, but there were no drivers in the area and the link went dead. I have been trying to get back in touch with someone now for over 3 hours. The worst company ever. We rented a car and prepaid. (Our mistake). They did not have the car. They gave us a smaller car and billed us the same amount. I called them and they would not fix the problem. So this multi billion dollar company is stealing hundreds of dollars from us. They admit the error and they are not going to fix the problem. The almighty dollar reigns supreme. These people are crooks. I wish a read these reviews first. **** ******

Wish i could give them 0 Stars, this was the worst thing about my vacation! we have place a SUV for March 17 though March 22, so I could drive to the location of my vacation in the next state over, they said they didn't have any vehicles to rent, but they have 4 cars in the parking lot and they had some reason not to rent them! They did not want to give me my deposit back, my lawyer had to call them before they gave it back to my account

Worst experience ever !!!! DONT RENT HERE!!!!! MADE A RESERVATION OVER A MONTH , GOT A CONFIRMATIN THE DAY BEFORE I HAVE TO PICK UP THE CAR FOR THE NEXT DAY THEY TELL ME THEY DONT HAVE A CAR FOR ME!!!! WHAT IS THAT!!!! THE SUPERVISOR WAS USELESS THIS COMPANY NEEDS A NEW MANAGEMENT AND LEARN HOW TO RESPECT AND TREAT CUSTOMERS. AND ACCORDING TO THE SUPERVISOR HAVING A RESERVATION DOES NOT GURANTEE A CAR ITS LIKE A WAITING LIST...WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!NOW MY TRIP HAS BEEN DEAYED AND I LOSE A NIGHT THANK YOU HERTZ
