Customers make reservations to ensure that a car is available at the day and time that they need a car. We had reservations in advance guaranteed with a credit card and were told that we would have a car in one hour. It took over 3 hours in the airport to get any kind of vehicle. The entire trip was planned for an event that we missed because of this delay. If the agent had told us the truth, we would have found an alternative means of transportation. Hertz overcharge after they give you a price quote. $569 for a one-day rental from Hermitage Tennessee... These people are scrupulous. I advise anyone interested in rentals DON'T RENT FROM HERTZ!!!
I rented a car from them this month it was trop off on the return date the next day I received a call from the branch that thy could not locate the key .the key was but in the key return box the day I return the car The assistant manager was very unprofessional and started to argue he stated that thy would never lose or misplace a key but also stated that thy did look in other vehicles . Just rented a car from Hertz and will never again,. The car reeked of smoke and supposed to be non smoking cars. Since I had to be someplace did not have time to return it. Said they would issue me a 50.00 gift certificate an I said no thanks. ******* R

Total rip off. Booked a FULL SIZE car weeks in advance. Get to the counter and was treated like trash. Felt a bit on the racist side, if I'm being honest. I don't use that word often but I was totally treated like an outsider. Pick up time was 1:30p for my car. Had a funeral to get to. Recommend any other car rental agency!!!!! Had to wait 30-45 minutes for a reserved car. Had to wait for the car to be "cleaned." The low tire light was on when I started the car so I drove across the street to put air in the tire because I was running late because of the delay and I would have had to wait at least another 30-45 minutes for the agent again. I wish I had read these testimonials before my bad experience. I normally rent from Enterprise but I thought this time I would rent with Hertz. I ordered my car on-line with Hertz 10 days before pick-up. They charged my card. On the day I was there to pick up the car (10 minutes early) the building was not secure and unlocked, No one was at the counter. I booked a Reservation on Super Bowl Weekend back in February in Milwaukee at General Mitchell Airport. I am a Gold Club Member. Reservation was originally with Dollar Rental Car. When i arrived that evening Feb 4th 2021 i was directed to go to The Hertz Counter.
