Absolutely most terrible experience possible. Had a reservation for 3 days and called day before with multiple non logical excuses why they had no rental available. Typical business in the USA. Thank goodness my life didn't depend on such inept ability to conduct business in a positive manner. I should have paid attention to the zero ratings prior to my reservation. I can only blame myself.

I rented a vehicle from the Denver location and was provided a dirty vehicle with garbage in it and paperwork from previous renters (uh..hello covid!) But there weren't many cars, I was in a hurry, and the employee didn't care..so, what can you do? I make the best of it. I document ALL the IMENSE damage including a cracked windshield (illegal) and reach out to customer service because now this is a safety issue. They are 0 help. We rented a car from the Hertz hub in Orlando Airport after our flight was cancelled. While at the counter registering the rental the employee seemed very new and unsure of himself. We also extra to add a second driver. When we were finished at the counter the employee told us "good luck finding the car." Once we found the car there was no initial inspection done in our presence. I will never rent another vehicle from Hertz again. When I rented the vehicle and the agent told me the price, I asked him if he was charging me for insurance. He said that he was and I proceeded to tell him that I had already spoke with my insurance company and was told that all I would be liable for was the $500 deductible in case of an accident. Since they were charging $200 for the insurance, it made no sense to me to purchase their overpriced insurance policy. I told him that I did not want the insurance. At that point ... read more

I spent a fortune on an Infiniti Q80 rental today and was told I would have Sirius XM. Spent 1.5 hours on the phone with Hertz agents in the Philippines and Sirius XM customer service. It was all very "How may we not help you?" No one could get it done. I have 7 more days of FM listening as a result. Very annoyed.

NEGATIVE STARS! NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER rent from Hertz!! sadly I've always used them while traveling over the years but this last trip they royally screwed my family and I over. Here is a quick over view of what happened. We rented a car back in March (2021) for our trip to Florida in July (2021). I prepared for a car on Hertz.com for a business trip -- I didn't want to waste time at the checkout counter since I was a Hertz Gold Member. I returned the car a day early and wasn't refunded ANY of my money. I was told since it wasn't for an family emergency or another valid reason, I wouldn't receive a refund for returning the car early. What a way to treat a Hertz Gold Member. Don't rent from Hertz if you need flexibility.

This has been the worst car rental experience ever!! I rented through Priceline and I paid in full to avoid any charges at the airport. I picked up and returned the car from MCO. When I got home there was a charge for 168.08 on my credit card. I called them right away they told me I was being charged for fuel which I filled up the car before arriving at the airport and an extra day which I didn't stay an extra day.
