Worst company ever. Cars always dirty and never serviced. Extra charges are put on the contract. How is this company still open.

Horrible service and a lot of misinformation. Hertz reservation made in 10/27/21 with payment upfront. In time of pickup, I was told that the car I paid for was not available and have much smaller car. When I asked for bigger car, they gave me a price not telling that this is a price above what I paid already. As a result, they charge me almost 3 times more then I originally agreed. Never deal with Hertz. Misleading customers is very bad practice and it should be punished.

First, one star because I wouldn't let me type this message unless a star was selected. I made a reservation back in March (more or less) of last year (2021) for December arriving in San Juan at 11pm. To my surprise they were closed, I called the number on the kiosk and it was out service. I decided to wake up super early and called customer service and I was told the location was out of vehicles and that the location business hours was 6:30am to 10:30 pm. The employees copy your credit card info & use it. Terrible service as your being scammed.

Worst service ever. Had a rental for 2 months, no one ever contacted me to foolow up and make sure everything with the car was ok, even after I called & emailed the service rep I dealt with & got NO response at all! I drop the car off and they tell me that it is going to be about a week before the money is put back into my bank account, not 2 days later they withdrew more money than what they were supposed to give me which caused my account to be overdrawn & they tell me that it is going to take time to get my money back. Hertz reservation was made for May 27, 2022 pickup at a pay later rate for total due at counter of 136.53 euros. However, when I view the reservation online the rate no longer shows the confirmed rate. The rate currently shows 510 euros. When I contacted customer service the first time I saw the rate had changed, I was told to just bring the email confirmation and the rate would be honored. Vehicles were in good shape but poor customer service experience. I rented a personal vehicle and purchased collision insurance prior. There was a minor bumper accident driving back on the highway and I notified the rental company of the issue. They should have had my personal information, DL, and insurance info from when I rented however months later I get a call from a collection agency asking for payment of the repair damages and having to deal between the Allianz insurance claim and the collection agency. I had a horrible time with a resolution to customer service, and am posting everywhere to warn individuals about their 'policies'. I returned a rental car to IAH Hertz and was charged $70 for refueling a vehicle I had driven 72 miles during the entire rental period. When contacting customer service, she kept repeating "This is based off the information we have." I had a bad experience yesterday at Dallas international Airport as I was trying to extend my rental and return it to my pick up location. The first employee felt annoyed as I was asking too many questions, I don't feel bad for asking what am paying for, I want to know.
