I rented a car and was charged for a three day rental, even though it broke down on the second day of use and had to be towed. When I contacted customer service they said I should consider myself fortunate because the car was not returned by the tow truck company for five days, well past the terms of our agreement. Hertz added extra insurance on my rental without my permission then charged to my bank account and overdrawn it and will not fix it

They will keep charging your card months after you rent. Ruined our honeymoon and are still processing small amounts on our credit card 3 months later. I've contacted them several times and they give me the run around one even admitted I had signed or authorize them to and then she realized what she had said and hung up on me, I've never dealt with a more unprofessional rental company and I travel constantly.

I was ripped off by a HERTZ international location. When I returned I called Hertz and they said sorry about my luck. I asked to speak with a manager and the call was terminated. the original bill was $165 and i was billed $577. They claimed Sunday night to Tuesday night equals four days? The biggest issue is that customer service does not care! Never again!!

I have rented the car/Chevrolet spark in Kailua Kona on March 15th. Unfortunately, I had to rent it on the spot, because a person who I was to travel with had a positive covid test result 1 hour before the plane take off. So he could not come and had to cancel his reservation. I am from Poland, so my journey was 30 hours long, and I could not make reservations online, on my own. I spoke with the manager at 5:30pm who was very nice and ensured me my truck would be ready at 6pm. They did not have the exact truck I wanted but he was able to work with me. I got to the location at 6:03pm as my wife and 2 daughters were drop me off I was a man locking the door on his way out. I said I had a reservation and that I talked to the manager about being able to pick up my truck. I rented a car on points from Hertz LAX on 2/21/22 for a two week rental. On 3/1/22 my father-in-law who was suffering from cancer was given 7-10 days left to live. We cut our trip short and I returned the car two days early on 3/3/22. I was then sent a bill for $1,234.24 which is a ridiculous rate for 10 days. Hertz got the car back full of gas and in great shape to rent again. They were short of cars in LAX also. I have been Hertz gold for years and this is a terrible way to treat good customers. Beware!!!! Leave customer in the dark with the legalize boilerplate in rental agreement. Rented and prepaid a month in advance for six day trip in South Texas. Since I used husbands credit card when paying I couldn't rent the car when arriving to airport. Even though I had PREPAID!!! I tried to use other methods rebook, other credit cards. Nothing no help, only option was to rent a car at $350 per day!!!!! I can't afford that even though car waiting for me on lot.
