Requested return of personal property left in Hertz car rental. Left message and called on April 25, 2022 (office closed on weekends). I was told IPad was found and I would be contacted in a few days, after getting approval from a supervisor. I was not contacted. Afterwards office was temporarily closed. I filed forms via internet for my property to be returned, I was notified by e-mail (May 6, 2022) that a Customer Service Rep. would contact me within 7- 10 days (not contacted). I had arranged to rent a mini van from Hertz to take my kids on vacation fir a week. I lease & my car is too small to transport everyone & everything. My itinerary told me to pick up my vehicle at 7am. When I got there the location was closed & wouldn't open until 8! I called the airport location, which is where I originally was supposed to pick up the car & is advertised as open at 7am. I Rented a car from Hertz on 3/25/22 - 3/27/22 reserved on line with the amount total 293.92 return the car on time full of gas on 3/27/22 my credit card was charged 293.92 as the rental contract stated the next day Hertz charged my credit card with additional 352.89. Tried to contact the customer service could only get a automated system letting me know you have to contact your credit card provider to get additional charges removed. Terrible Service. They advertise cars for sale then tell you that for 2 weeks the car will be tied up by their service department doing maintenance. In reality they are renting out the cars and they won't let you look at, drive or even access many of the cars on their inventory as they don't have them available. Very rude and poor customer service. The sales agent sat on her **** when I arrived, too lazy to even get up. I think her name was Mariela. I rented a car from Hertz in Le Mans France through Kayak. The TOTAL prepaid price quoted by Kayak was $1.070.78. When I arrived to pick up the car, the Hertz agent fraudulently charged an additional $692.91 giving some lame excuse that the price from Kayak was only for their portion, even though the quote from Kayak said TOTAL. BEWARE of these fraudsters!

I returned my Hertz rental car with a full tank of gas & even gave the guy the paper receipt for $50.01 of gas from the station 1/8 mile away. I also took a photo of the dashboard showing the mileage & full-tank of gas. Yet Hertz charged me $112 to fill up the tank (I didn't notice it on the receipt till later). Then, 3 weeks later they charged my card $120 additional saying the car was returned without a full tank! They charged me twice for the same lie! So let me start by saying I will never use Hertz again..we picked the car up Thursday in Philly and by the time we made it to the airport we was calling complaining..we was told to drop it off at any location but every location either was closed or didn't have cars..we made it to our location and still no place to switch the car out at..and to add insult to injury we are on the road back and the back passenger tire blows out..due to lack of the company upkeep on this car..we call the roadside emergency number just to be told... read more

Terrible Customer service from Hertz. I returned Rental with full Gas tank; this was checked by the Agent. a few weeks later I get an invoice for Refueling. I sent email with statements showing the Fuel was payed for prior to return. till date I havent received any confirmation from Hertz that the charges are been cancelled, I am unable to get on the phone with an agent who can help, I tried the Live Chat when I again sent documentation.
