I would leave zero stars if I could. Their agents at FLL airport had no knowledge or ability. They lied and tried to force me into 100/wk higher than my reservation. I ended up canceling and walking away and going to avis.
I would give zero stars if I could. They called us at 10:30am the day we were leaving for our trip and cancelled our reservation. We were going to pick up the car at 4:30pm. They left a voicemail on my boyfriend's phone - him and I both tried calling for almost 2 hours until someone decided to answer. They pretty much told us sorry about your luck, not our fault. I placed a full size SUV on reserve and when I got to the location was told that I had 2 reservations. The SUV was cancelled and then the other car reservation was made. (a KIA and not a truck) This was a moth ago, and today see a charge for 693.00 to my bank account made yesterday. I called the customer care center and was advised that they do not have any reservations made for me to call my back and report it. Nikea, the manager at ************************* needs some customer service training. He was very rude and did not represent the company well. He would not honor our booking (we wanted to upgrade) and didn't advise of the policy prior to us trying to rebook for a different car. Seemed like he did not like that we were going through a third party. This business is not customer friendly, we got stranded on the freeway for 9 hours, the rental car we had did not have a spare tire and we got a flat tire. Hertz could not help us with another so we had to purchase a new tire at 1 in the morning. We are still waiting to get reimbursed for the tire, it seems like they do not want to pay us the 200.00 for the tire we purchased for their car. We will never rent from Hertz again. Bad business...
I reserved an SUV through Hertz Customer Service to use a Customer Care Certificate of $200 towards my rental. Was instructed how to reserve the vehicle and to present the certificate upon arrival to pick up the vehicle. I checked with the main Hertz Customer Service three times prior to my trip to be sure I was doing everything correctly with the credit. Poor Customer Service!!! I recently booked a reservation for a 7 passenger SUV, two weeks in advance and received confirmation from this location stating that the car would be available. The representative from Hertz who described himself as Harry called me on the day of me picking up the vehicle to say that they were getting cars in and that he would call me back. Hertz charged me about $200 in extras fees and taxes, and now I can't get a hold of anybody to help me out, and when I do get a hold of someone, they ignore me as soon as I start asking questions. I rented a car in Hawaii for 3 days, and my base rate was about $340. The taxes and fees I got charged at the counter ended up being $357, which somehow was more than the rental car itself. I rented a car and returned it a day earlier. I have to go back and forth with the Hertz billing department. I waited on the phone for 2 hours for help that never came. Finally, when they pick up the phone, they never apologize too. Yet, I haven't still received my refund yet This is the most worse rental car I have ever used.
