I paid for a car rental two weeks in advance so I could drive to Houston intercontinental airport and not leave my car at the airport while I was gone for a few weeks. On April 22, 2021, I rented through Priceline, a van from the Arvada Colorado Hertz. After 6 months of trying to place my 92-year-old, bedridden mother into a nursing home during a pandemic, I was successful and was flying from California to clear out her apartment. I would give zero if I could , I left my card in one of the cars , went back to ask if it was found was told no so I cancelled and got a replacement card .. 1 month later I got a charge on my account for $737.34 from hertz. So either the person after me used my card fraudulently to pay for their rental or an employee , which they are all ghetto so probably so , stole my information & charged my card . Horrible company! Poor customer service. Big ****** as well. I wouldn't rent a scooter from this company! They never issued me my $400.00 refund that they were suppose to. You can't speak with anyone directly from this company. There customer service was no help what so ever! I sent several emails regarding my refund to Spiros ****** (Houston Function Manager) and no response after he stated I would be issued a refund for their mistake. Worst Customer Service Across the Board If I could put zero stars I would. This was by far the WORST customer service I've had renting a car. Our car reeked of cigarettes. Cigarettes make me nauseous, my granddaughter is asthmatic and my wife gets horse. We went back to Hertz to get another car. They sent us 25mins to the airport because to trade the car. We reserved luxury car for vaca. We had waiting for us an Impala, 2018 maybe, covered in mud, they did offer a wash ticket. I wouldn't have driven/ridden in that vehicle across town. This was Hurstbourne Ln location, Louisville KY.

Worst Service ever. Rental car died on the side of the road. 100 degree heat. Nobody would answer their emergency roadside assistance call for almost 2 hours. They were still charging my credit card 3 days later even though they had towed the vehicle. When you get someone on the line, they are unable to help. Avoid this company at all costs. It will drain your time and energy.

Do not expect any customer service from Hertz. Our Hertz rental car broke down and we called their road side service. No call back. Tried 100 times in 48 hours. The airport agents would refuse to help and put us into road side service system. After 48 hours, we found a mechanic to fix the problem so we could get back to the airport. Arriving an hour past the return time, we were charged $200 extra. After some haggling, they gave us $150 worth of coupons, but never compensated us for not having a car for the weekend. I was charged for 2 additional drivers when I only had 1! I have emailed and called and still haven't received an explanation. I will bite the bullet on this one, but NEVER rent from them again!!!!
