Rude and abusive manager. We rented a large sedan (Malibu or similar) online and paid with a credit car that was confirmed by email from Hertz. When we went to pickup the car we and were told they only had a small Toyota Corolla and it would be the same price as the large sedan car, he said "take it or leave it", and we were lucky to get anything. rental location: 6897 perimeter rd, Seattle, WA THE EXPERIENCE I HAD FROM THE MOMENT I WALKED IN THE DOOR WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UPSETTING. I honestly have never been talked to or treated so rudely in my life . The women who I later learned her name was Jessica (she lied about her name when I first asked) , and the other person with large gauges in hers ears went out of there way to be rude and obnoxious! Beware of Hertz.. My son recently had an experience with them when he returned a rental to them that was through an insurance claim for a no-fault accident on AAA insurance. When he returned it, they charged him a surcharge of $9.90 per gallon for 10 gallons the day before he even returned the car. He never got a receipt to show that the car needed 10 gallons. Be sure to put gas in the car before you return otherwise you too will be overcharged.

On July 31st, 2021, I selected a Thrifty rental car through a third party and prepaid in the amount of $330.29. However, when I went to your rental counter at Orlando International Airport on August 12th, the counter agent added an unsolicited charge to my "Estimate of Charges" ticket for "Personal property/injury, liability insurance in the amount of $111.16 + taxes. Worst customer service and rental employees i ever encountered. I rented a chevy malibu and the car shut off on me multiple times as i stopped. They kept telling me its the stop and go feature and i told them that it wasnt that and that the car shut off on me while i was driving. They told me to go to the nearest hertz to exchange and i went to 2 different places and they didnt have any vehicles. The downtown Portland, Oregon SW Pine St location of this business is corrupt, along with many of their others I'm sure. As Hertz corporation has gone bankrupt recently, their business practices are surely being even more driven by desperation and fraud. I reserved a car for 9/9/21 online, and confirmed it further on the phone that morning with a Customer Care agent when I called to add in my Gold number. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a car rental company! If I could give zero stars I would! I was notified the day of that there were no cars available, they cannot transfer my reservation to another Hertz location and that I had to call the corporate number to get a refund. They couldn't even do that from their location! I will tell all of my friends and family to never use Hertz to rent a car ever again! I'm going to post this review on every review site I can find.

I was on the Hertz Rental website and looked to booked a vehicle for an upcoming visit to the northeast. I looked at the "Pay Now" as well as the "Pay Later" rates. I then attempted to apply a discount code for a 20% off of my total rental as I am 70 years old and Hertz offers this discount to those over 55 years of age according to their website.
