Inconsistent communication about billing/pricing. Very poor customer-oriented practice in finding excuses to dishonor AAA membership discount.
I rented a car from Hertz in Burlington NC, in August 2021. My contact person was Brent, Brent told me to dropped the rented car off at the body shop. Prior to dropping the car off, I filled the tank with gas which is the normal procedure, and dropped the car off at the body shop on Sept. 3rd. Whatever you do, do not rent from Hertz, especially at this location. They care nothing about their customers and god forbid you have any issues with your car or lost and found. They don't pick up their phone, don't return online inquiries and Hertz corporate evades all communications by providing bogus "Customer Service" numbers with yes-men and yes-women who send you in circles until you are so frustrated, you give up. Made a reservation to drop off and pick up at the same location. I tried to correct it online, it wouldn't let me. It kept reverting back to the 1st option. I called corporate and it kept re directing me to the computer but no person. I called the local store and could not get through to anybody. I couldn't get through to anybody. I tried the Internet two more times and it wouldn't let me do it. I am sitting here at the airport with a $120 drop fee to drop off at a different location. I literally drove 20 miles
Worst customer service experience of my life. Showed up to pick up my reservation and they didn't have any cars available. Branch did ABSOLUTELY nothing to try to help. Didn't even call another location. Customer service rep on phone didn't speak fluent English and really didn't help. Was told all internal matters a confidential. I rented a car from hertz on 9/4/2001 The people gave me a car that just had come in with a few dings on it (they told me that they have Panoramic cameras that took pictures when the cars back so they know). Hertz is a horrible company and not very professional. They do not even rate a 1 star. If you are renting a car this is not the company to use they take your money and will not give it back. I was given a car that I did not order as they never have the cars that you request ahead. When I got there they had to give me what they had. Will never rent from this company again. Rented from Nashville airport a car that has a horrible vibration and feels extremely unsafe driving. Called the airport 3x the phone rings and no one picks up just disconnects. Had reservation made by my insurance company for compact car as replacement while my car was being repaired. I called location at opening time to check if I needed to verify reservation and they stated no, "Just call an hour before you are coming and we will have it ready for you". ! hour before i was to arrive at the rental location I called and they stated everything was ready for me and I can pick up my vehicle, At that time I verified with the employee that I wanted a small compact car and they said yes we have it ready ... read more
