Scammers and unprofessional! I rented a car through Booking.com from Hertz. It was a 1 way rental. I returned the car the night before the return date at the location specified by Booking.com. Two days later Hertz sent an email asking where the car was. I sent pics of the location. Long story short, they charged me for a late return AFTER they acknowledged that the return location was wrong on Booking.com. I will never do business with them ever again.

Have rented a car. I had a simple question: Do I check in at counter in terminal or go to counter in the garage. I called the PDX Hertz airport number. Got lost in a Byzantine phone tree, eventually the recorded voice told me that if I wanted to speak to an agent, it would increase my rental cost by 5 percent. Arrogant. Poor customer service. Will take my business elsewhere in the future

The absolute worst. Rented a "manager's special" at the airport in Tucson, Arizona. The car I got was filthy and obviously not washedeven though it had the "gold star" clean sticker on the door. Tried for two days to call the Tucson office directly and no answer. Went online and filled out a Hertz complaint form that the car had not been cleaned and received no answer. Then had to extend my rental by two days and it cost me $300. I will absolutely NEVER NEVER NEVER rent from Hertz agaiin.

Worst customer service ever!!! Hours on hold to reach someone, and then they are rude and unhelpful. They give you an email to resolve your issue, yet no one responds to those emails. I was charged for days after I returned the car. 4 month long process to remove charges. No way this company should operate this way! Never again will I rent from this company!!

THEY DONT ANSWER THEIR PHONE! I booked a car rental through Travelocity and was billed $600.00 higher by Hertz. Also, My receipt said I would be charged $139.00 per additional day and I kept the car 2 additional days. They billed me $900.00 for the 2 days. Travelocity said Hertz handles the billing. I cannot get through on the phone to discuss the issue. NOW, they sent the amount to collections and have suspended by right to rent cars from them in the future. Reserved a Wrangler for vacation through them and when we arrived they said they didn't have any. We asked if they had any open air vehicles and was told they didn't have any. As we left there lot was full of convertibles. Ask if they could help with reimbursement of payment , they couldn't help with that either. Stay away from this place unless you want a headache.

I would give them zero stars if possible. Reserved a compact car. When we arrived they were out of compact cars and gave us a mini-van. When we received the receipt we realized we were charged for the mini-van. I called 3 times. Each time the conversation ended with, well there is nothing we can do because you signed the rental agreement. I asked to speak with someone who could do something and they said a manager will call me back. I had to call 3 times over a week to get a manager to call me back. My husband rented a car from Hertz in Minnesota this last Spring 2021. One of the tires was very bald. As he was driving in bad weather, he contacted their customer service. He was informed he could have a new tire put on & be reimbursed by the company. He has called & emailed several times. Each time, they ask AGAIN for a copy of the emails & receipt to substantiate the reimbursement. Hertz is the WORST business ever, I would rather walk than rent from them anymore. I have been a Gold member for years and with every rental I get from them there are issues, like charging me for additional days rental when in fact I returned the car within the 24 hour period. Also charging $49.00 for fuel when I drove the car only 55 miles. They are impossible to get on the phone and will rarely contact you with an email after a problem. AVOID Hertz!
