I rented from Hertz in Stockton,CA for a year straight while building my credit to purchase a vehicle. The whole year of 2019 I stayed a loyal customer. I was even upgraded into the presidents circle because of all the money I put in throughout the year until I went to return my vehicle and soon after had a problem. First and last time renting from them. From the first day it has been a nightmare. I was told delivery was available, but after three days of runaround with customer service, I gave up and picked the rental up myself. When I got to the branch location, they no longer had my reservation. The car I was given had less than a quarter tank of gas. When I went to put gas in, the latch would not open and had to be pried. I rent a car from cedar Rapids IA airport at 8.44 PM and I returned the next day at 11 pm . So I'm late 2 hours and 16 minutes. So the charge me another full day . My rate with insurance is $105.11 I call Hertz Customer service and she doesn't resolve the issue. That why I'm here. The charger my Credit card $189 and some change. I didn't expect what they charge me. I'm not happy with what they did for 2 hours and 16 minutes

I made a reservation for the period from 11/02 - 11/06. My driver license expiration date was 11/05/2021. Called Hertz support to double check if I still can pickup the car. After twice check, support agent assure me that everything is fine and I still can rent a car. Of course when I've arrived to the pickup location they said NO, and they have no care that someone from the Hertz support confirm me it. DONT RENT FROM HERE. Hertz was absolutely terrible to deal with. We have been a Gold Member for some time and I had an issue when I went to pick up my car at the Tampa airport on Jan 29, 2022. Once we realized there was an issue I asked for a manager to help. ***** was literally the most immature, ridiculous person I have ever met in a manager position She was loud, nasty and provided absolutely no help. My son was in an accident with a driver of a Hertz rental car. He was not at fault in the accident. It has been a month and a half and they still have not finished their work to allow us to take his vehicle in for repairs. This is utterly ridiculous for the amount of time that this takes. I'm completely floored by their lack of care. I'm sure had the situation been reversed, they would not have taken near this long. I feel I need to preface this review by stating that the SOLO counter worker (not manager) did her best and this is not HER fault at all, she went over and above to help remedy the situation INCLUDING donning cold weather gear to go personally clean a vehicle for us. SHE is the only reason that I didn't give the whole experience one star. I made a reservation with Hertz online, picking up from SJC today and returning in 3 days. It was prepaid but I had never received an email confirmation and the reservation didn't show up in my Hertz account. At the airport Hertz counter, they couldn't find my reservation. They also didn't try to be helpful in any way either. I have asked the credit card company to dispute the charge. I'm extremely disappointed with Hertz and will not rent a car from them again.

Filthy car, lights on dash, windshield wipers not working properly, paraphernalia in car!!!! no response from complaints, promised contact from management (no contact).
