ZERO stars if I could. This was absolutely the most disgusting rental car I have ever seen. We rented a suburban to travel with my husband, 2 kids and in-laws from Orlando to Santa Rosa, FL. This was during Covid so all of the cars except ours had a sticker on the window indicating they had been cleaned and sanitized. Ours did not. Horrible company do not use them ever I wouldn't even let my worst enemy rent from hertz and I heard now they are having people arrested for stealing cars that they legally rented and returned paid in full

I picked up my car in Cancun Mexico alone at 230am February 3rd 2022. The car I was given was squeaky and would not go into reverse properly or without a fight. It was a dangerous car. I made it to my destination and spent half of the next day exchanging the vehicle. I contacted customer support on February 11, 2022 to be offered a gift certificate for hertz. I had rented a car through a third party app (zip) in order to rent a cargo van for the 24-25th of January, 2022. After reading that a credit card would need to be presented in order to pick up the rental van, I called Hertz corporation. The agent was able to cancel my order within the hour on January 21, 2022. She said that a confirmation of cancellation will no be received but that I was good to go. This is the worst ever company. Do not rent from them. I have an open case for 400 bucks their Cancun location charged my card on the top of the rental price that was a part of air+hotel+car bought on Hotwire. Their corporate is reviewing my case since December 12 last year! No reimbursement. They keep emailing their Cancun location and told me they are not responsible for their actions. Customer service is useless and waste your time on every call. There is no way to escalate to managers.

Worst car rental service I have ever experienced from start to finish. It took over an hour at the terminal to check in with 1 person at the counter. When I got to the lot I was the first one there, traveling with my 10 month old. The woman proceeded to walk the 3 gentlemen behind me to their cars first. Dropping off the car was a mess too. Line was completely back up. This is the first time I have every written a review on the BBB because the whole experience was that awful. I wanted to thank Hertz for their kindness during my rental experience at Sioux Falls Hertz. My daughter broke her back and could not fly home to Connecticut for an extended recovery period. I used the APPS and called several rental locations with no luck to rent a one-way car from South Dakota to Connecticut. I spoke to the Overland West Hertz city manager on the phone, a real person, who heard my concerns, and we worked out a fair one-way rental. Terrible! Don't rent from these Crooks. We rented a car in June, 2021 The AC WAS BROKEN. Called customer service and they did nothing. I have RAD And was Wheezing. It was stifling hot and Dangerous to be in a car In Atlanta GA with no AC. They didn't give us our money back. Still trying to find a resolution.
