I spoke with the manager at 5:30pm who was very nice and ensured me my truck would be ready at 6pm. They did not have the exact truck I wanted but he was able to work with me. I got to the location at 6:03pm as my wife and 2 daughters were drop me off I was a man locking the door on his way out. I rented a car on points from Hertz LAX on 2/21/22 for a two week rental. On 3/1/22 my father-in-law who was suffering from cancer was given 7-10 days left to live. We cut our trip short and I returned the car two days early on 3/3/22. I was then sent a bill for $1,234.24 which is a ridiculous rate for 10 days. Beware!!!! Leave customer in the dark with the legalize boilerplate in rental agreement. Rented and prepaid a month in advance for six day trip in South Texas. Since I used husbands credit card when paying I couldn't rent the car when arriving to airport. Even though I had PREPAID!!! I tried to use other methods rebook, other credit cards. Nothing no help, only option was to rent a car at $350 per day!!!!! I can't afford that even though car waiting for me on lot. We got scammed at Hertz at the Kas Vegas airport. The agent added 983$ of insurance when we said we didnt want it. My husband has hearing loss and his hearing aids fall out when wearing a mask, so he was not wearing them due to airport masking policy. The agent at the desk also had a mask on and also spoke quietly. When asked if we wanted insurance we both said no. He then took our credit card. Unfortunately, I can't give zero stars because this company has horrible customer service and lies to their customers. I rented a car in Seattle at the airport location and was offered the fuel purchase option. At no point did they say that I was purchasing a full tank of gas. I was only renting the car for 2 days and only used a 1/4 tank of gas. The agent made it seem like I would only be charged for the used fuel so I agreed to this option. If I could choose less than 1 star - I surely would. I reserved a car on January 28th and prepaid for the reservation. On February 23rd, one day before I was due to pick up the car I received a TEXT stating there were no cars available. After speaking to 7 different people I was still unable to get a car and asked for my money to be credited to my card. I received such a run around trying to get this credit. I am very disappointed in the level of customer service I received since beginning my rental with Hertz; up to this point I have had nothing but positive experiences. The vehicle choices on arrival at the La Guardia location were slim for the full size/standard size vehicles, only 3 available sedans, all of the vehicles appeared dirty, recently used, and damaged.
