They were misleading about their rental policy. They will not respond directly with me and they won't release my money back to my credit card for 7 to 10 days.

Booked a car for an employee using a very large company's corporate discount code, as it was a business trip travelling for training for this large company. Was not given the option to pre-pay for the rental. Employee only has a debit card, so we made sure there was more than enough in the account to cover the rental along with a security deposit. Rented a car through Priceline at Hertz, paid for the rental online ahead of time. The day of pick-up, due to their requirements of a credit card when I used my bank debit to purchase the rental, Hertz agents denied me of the rental and gave me a paper to request a refund. I requested a refund and was told 7-10 business days. On the 11 day I called hertz billing and was told I have to wait another 7-10 business days and it's nothing they can do about the mandatory wait. As of today I'm still waiting for my refund.

Horrible west palm beach fl, dollar rental I Was here March 26. I had paid online with my Mastercard and had my reserved 7 passenger car . I had two adults and 4 children all under the age of 12. Waited 30 mins to be told I couldn't use my Mastercard. I didn't realize you needed a major cc to put a 500 deposit down. (this was my bad I should have brought a major cc). I am appalled at this business and they way they conduct themselves. They charge a $100 for canceling your rental car 3 months in advance because they couldn't price match the competition by $600! They hung up when we have been on hold for 45 minutes when we kindly asked to speak to a manager. They are a terrible company and we will never use them again!

Worst experience ever! Do not ever rent a car from Hertz !!! We had a mechanical difficulty which was reported immediately. We set up an appointment with the location twice to pick up the car but they did no show up. Few week later , I received a call from the branch . He told me that the reason for the mechanical issue Is that I put diesel in the car instead of gas!!!!! I have been driving more than 30 years and knew what I was doing!! I rented a car at the Hertz Knoxville, Tennessee airport on March 21, 2022. I returned the car to the same location the following day, March 22. I was instructed by one of the Hertz employees to take the keys, and the contract to the Hertz counter in the airport. When I arrived at the counter, there was no one there. Day after day I see reports of people arrested for cars reported as STOLEN - your ** excuses that rentals were overdue or customers didn't pay is completely false. Everyone should take note and NOT rent from Hertz. You might end up in jail. Search all the stories. It's over 20,000. YES, 20,000 cases. When I rented from HERTZ I had to argue that I paid two weeks AFTER I returned the car. Horrid business and they just don't care.

I reserved a car from Hertz to be picked up at Phoenix Airport. I picked it up on 2/12/22. I returned the car on 2/19/22. However, while I had the car, someone at Hertz used the credit card number that I used to reserve the car to rent another car on 2/12/22 and returned it on 2/14/22. I received the email receipt on 2/14/22. I called my credit card company and reported the fraud. The credit card company canceled that card and sent me a new one.
