Hertz's check-in/return in San Diego was super easy, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I had to return the car early due to a family emergency. Because of the emergency, I had to return the car back to San Diego instead of my planned return to Palmdale. Hertz didn't charge me a dime for the car rental and they were so helpful. They didn't even tell me there was no charge, I found out after I came home and needed to print the receipt.

If I could give no stars, I would. Rented a vehicle from hertz to use for uber. The location i went to was 3332 N San Fernando Road Los Angeles, CA. For the initial rental and the extensions money was pulled from my account each week and was on "hold". Once I returned the vehicle, I was told my charges would be released and I'd get a final charge of the total for the whole rental period. If renting from San Jose deal Cabo, make sure you double check the charges. If you decline collision damage waiver, make sure they added that to the agreement. They are notoriously unscrupulous. I specifically told them to decline this as I have several credit cards that cover this charge. But I must have missed it as I had been traveling all day and had many delays and was 4 hours late arriving. I was absolutely exhausted and they took advantage. Hertz's business practices of charging a tank of gas when the vehicle is already full is not right. It's gouging people.

I recently booked with Hertz ahead of time for a trip to Cancun since I had a very tight timeline and wanted to use a trusted company. Upping arrival, I let the service rep know I was on a tight timeline and they used this to take advantage, making my insurance options exorbitant compared to normal. I was left with little choice and they knew it, making it predatory. Insurance is mandatory in Mexico. Rented a vehicle and experienced a life threatening safety issue. Not only did Hertz NOT address the issue satisfactorily, it took 30 days and numerous inquiries on my part to get any attention to this matter at all.

Worst service of all renal car companies. Forced me to buy their daily insurance even I told them I don't need it several times. Location: ATL airport Hertz.

Their is a clerical error in their computer system that shows that people who have paid thousands of dollars for long-term rentals as unpaid. They are sending police to fetch stolen vehicles that are not actually stolen and there are paid for legally through their rental system, but said system has an error that doesn't show the customers payments. Hertz has sent hundreds of people to jail, these people cannot pay their bail because they gave all their money to Hertz for the rental car. They sit there in jail for months, unt... read more

I just watched a hertz van fly past my house twice(I live right next to a park) going what had to be double the speed limit. He did not even slow down for the speed bump which is right by my driveway. I live in a gated community. Many kids including my son are out there riding bikes and playing. This is so unsafe and un professional! Not Happy!
