This hertz located 3909 s lamar brvd;( Austin texas is not always professional, do not believe what they say😭. I had a scheduled pick up for a rental over a day before, by the time I got there the lady at front told me that they sent a voice mail to my phone that there's no availability at a time. Imagine sending a voice mail to cancel my pickup at the very time of pickup. Now I have to pay Uber twice for pretty much nothing. Nothing but shame to this business

do you people answer you *** phones? you cant ever talk to a real person. Hertz rental car company is lazy, worthless , incompetent , arrogant, useless, ignorant, brainless, idiotic!!! i have many other choice works that bbb will not post

Hertz not honoring original rental agreement. I reserved a van in January 2022 for a family trip at the end of May. At that time my total price was $419.62. In April I worked with a customer service rep to move my pickup time from 11 am to 4 pm on the same day because my flight was changed by the airline. Nothing else was changed on my end, but my rental rate went to $1681.48. I was told verbally by customer service agent that nothing else would change. Hertz should be shut down by the government! Theyre purposely fraudulent! 1st they confirm your rental online. 2nd when you get there they have you pay for rental immediately! 3rd then they tell you you can't get rental bc credit score isn't at least 690! Then give you a 800 nmbr to call about when your money will be credited back to your card! Thank God we didn't drive off in one of their rentals bc now I'm hearing about the many law suits against them for their shady practices! Folks getting pulled over and arrested accuse... read more

Rented a car in Bangor, Maine. Had a flat on day 2. We were told all tires were in bad shape and had weather rot. I had to buy a new tire. When we returned I contacted Hertz. They would not help in any way with the cost even though they should be responsible in making sure the tires are in good travel condition. Will never rent from Hertz again.

We made a reservation for a small car. When we arrived they did not have a small car for us. They only had an suv. The agent told us that we would only be charged for the small car we had reserved so we accepted this change. We also called to extend the car rental for two days and we're told this would not be a problem. When we finally received the charges for the rental, the agent had charged us for a vehicle upgrade to the SUV as well as late fees claiming we did not extend the rental. They rented me a "luxury" car in Seattle for a trip to Vancouver. It had no heater. I froze for a week. They didn't take any responsibility for it.

Avoid Hertz and rent your car with another company. I rented my car with Hertz 3 times and all 3 times my experience got worse and worse. First experience I paid in-full for a SUV and when I arrived I was told that they didn't have any SUVs and that they could only offer a compact or minivan without a refund for the extra I paid for an SUV.
