This is one of the few large and affordable hotels in downtown Washington. It is located minutes from the National Mall, the U.S. Capitol and many museums and attractions. The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

Cheap alternative for its excellent location if the only thing you need is to be close to Downtown. Ideal for a night or two.

This hotel is in a great location and was perfectly acceptable for a solo traveler like me, since I didn't spend much time there anyway. It was certainly no resort, but it was clean and had everything I needed. Plus, it was a great price.
Location and price are obviously Harrington Hotel's strongest assets compared to other options in Washington. Luggage was kept in the storage room free of charge. Staff were nice dealing with our luggage. Warm water in shower. Hairdryer was available in reception.
The location is great, just three blocks from the White House and anywhere else you need to go is walkable or busses and metro is close. There is breakfast 630 until 1130 available as well as dinner available until 2am. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the gift shop helped us get a sight-seeing tour so that was very convenient.
This Hotel is very old but it is in a great location. Many attractions are walkable as DC is very flat. Comfortable bed and clean room with fridge and coffee making facilities although room was quite small and the furnishings very dated. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
The location of the hotel is perfect. A good place if you're just spending the night and not planning to spend any additional time at the hotel.

This was an older hotel without some of the more modern conveniences but we were looking more for atmosphere and location so it was what we wanted and the price was right. It was great to get an early start without so many people.
