The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

Value for money. Fantastic location.
This is a great old hotel smack dab in the middle of everything. Do expect nice folks who will try to help with whatever you need. I actually had a knee injury while touring in town and the hotel let me use their wheel chair. We walked everywhere or took the bus or cab and tours picked us up at hotel too. The BAR was awesome with good food, service and decent prices and they were so nice to us. The restaurant was also delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It had character and was full of them too.
The service was great, and value for money.We had all we needed, and slept well. Couldn't really ask for more.
The location is pretty good. 15 min walk from the White House. Metro station only 4/5mins away. And it's the main one as well.
Close to metro, circulator bus, & national mall. Staff friendly/helpful. Stayed 8 nights. Main hotel over 100 years old Room as very clean & had a refrigerator. Would stay there again!

Excellent location for downtown Washington - the Mall, the main Smithsonian museums and the monuments, great restaurants, bars and the Metro. Not the most luxurious hotel, but we had a big room with separate sitting area, two bathrooms(!), a massive bed and the air conditioning was very good! Perfect for somewhere to sleep to then get out and explore Washington. Lively bar and restaurants downstairs.
I stayed at Harrington Hotel with my family.The room was clean,quite big and comfortable. We had issues with air conditioner,but it was fixed by a hotel worker. Close to many museums and restaurants around.Highly recommended!
The hotel is in a great location for walking to the Mall, White House, and museums. The hotel is valued priced. Parking is off site about two blocks away for$23 a day which is good. We parked for all the time been there walk to all places. The AC is very strange, you ca only close the AC tunnel not really shut it down and the wind is always gets in.
