Hotel Harrington is one of the few places where a family can get multiple beds in the same room, which, traveling with children and grandchildren, was the most important thing we were searching for.. While a little outdated, it is 100 years old, it is clean and comfortable, offers free WIFI, and has competent and courteous staff. The Harrington is withoin walking distance to the Whitehouse, Smithsonian, etc. They also have the least expensive in-and-out parking of any hotel we considered in the vicinity.. There are plenty of... read more

If you are looking for luxury, this is not the hotel for you. If you are looking for a hotel that is affordable, clean, and located within walking distance of the tourist sites the Hotel Harrington is the place to be. The rooms are small but very clean. My room had two double beds, a fridge, and a flat screen TV. There is Wi-Fi in the hotel and a computer to use in the lobby. There is a restaurant on property and Harry's is right next door that seemed to be bustling with people. Vending and Ice machines are available on desi... read more

The hotel is in the older building that shows in narrow hallways and small elevator. But if you can bypass the old building feel the hotel is clean and located in the heart of DC. Walking distance to most attractions. 24-hr full-access parking in nearby parking garage for unbeatable price. The room was a little small but that's the old building charm. Clean with all basics needed. No breakfast but there are many places nearby to grab a bite, including adjacent restaurant. Best value in the area for this great location. No bu... read more

If my daughter hadn't already been here on a school trip I wouldn't have booked it, but she said it was comfortable. The service was great, and value for money re location was fantastic. The rooms are very old, but the beds very comfortable. We had all we needed, and slept well. Couldn't really ask for more, from such an old hotel.

The hotel is old and the rooms are small but being located in the very centre of Washington DC you are not likely to be spending too much time in your room. The staff were friendly and most helpful and is the best value hotel in the best location. Food is fine for breakfast and if you do not want to eat dinner here then there are many local places a short walk away.

Many will complain about the outdated rooms but personally I love that the hotel has kept that 1950s look. The staff seem to have a family bond and they are very warm and welcoming. The hotel has two restaurants. One that serves breakfast and the other serves dinner. Only visit this hotel if you want to experience a bit of history. You'll appreciate it.

We've been to D.C. many many many times -except for once we've stayed right at Hotel Harrington. Everything is right THERE for you. Step out of the hotels doors and take a right, with 15 seconds you are at the corner and ON Constitution Ave. If you take a left within 2-3 minutes you are at the Metro and can be anywheres else. Older, tourist hotel, but with everything you'll need. We've never had an issue bad enough to complain about. Restaurants in building are great, other restaurants right around building as well. The abso... read more

I stayed here for one night to attend a concert at the Verizon Center which is within walking distance. There were also lots of restaurants within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I would definitely recommend this hotel. One thing I would like to add-they don't provide shampoo, conditioner or body wash.

This is about as accessible as you'll get to the National Mall and majority of Smithsonian museums for the price! This hotel may be suitable for groups as they have shared spaces available. I enjoyed my stay,
