The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

We booked a room with two beds and were pleasantly surprised to find our room had a double bed an adjoining room with two single beds for the kids.
The staff is wonderful, hotel is clean (yes it's old, but worn doesn't equate to dirty) and parking was a breeze. If you are an average American family traveling on a budget you might want to consider this hotel for your DC visit. Short walk to the National Mall and all monuments. One block from Ford's Theater. Don't let the age and wear fool you.

Nice and spacy room - good location in the centre of Washington, near to all monuments...good price for value :-) It is not the hotel for demanding clients but for tourists it is a perfect option!

This place is amazing it has this old feel, that is just amazing! Its also just a short walk away from most of the attractions therefore if you are going by foot - its very easy to get to where you need to go.

We stayed 2 nights during the Cherry blossom festival weekend. The hotel is located walking distance to every place. The room we reserved had 3 beds and was on the 11th floor. What a nice surprise that it was a bed and not a pull out couch. The beds were very comfortable. The room was large and very clean. Although the A/C was not working, the staff immediately brought up a fan to use (good thing DC was not terribly hot and humid that weekend). The best price and location is Harrington Hotel. It is old hotel so bathroom was not terrific. I wouldnâ??t say it felt squeaky clean but the room I was in had new carpet which I appreciated. They have acquired adjoining properties throughout the hotelâ??s 100-year history so each part could have different feel. (I was in the oldest part of the hotel.) Harrington Hotel has a few small single rooms in the $100 range plus family suites with multiple rooms with two bathrooms. I spent 12 nights here and I would definitely return... read more
