This is one of the few large and affordable hotels in downtown Washington. It is located minutes from the National Mall, the U.S. Capitol and many museums and attractions. The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

The location of this tourist hotel was just perfect.All downtown sites within walking distance and metro close too. Hotel had character if a little decor dated.

This is the only place to stay when in town. You are in the center of everything and can walk wherever. Employees are great, local restaurants are great too. Will definitely be coming here when back in town and recommending to others.

Completely enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Walkable to everything. Check-in was simple, warm, and friendly. The hotel is older, but the people who run this hotel know how to treat a customer -- there is a real sense that you are staying at a family-run hotel, and not a monolithic franchise. The hotel maintains all of its 1950's charm, with the addition of wicked fast and free internet. Rooms and bath are small -- but who cares. Price, Location, and Customer Service are superb.
We booked in and were greeted by a very nice receptionist who had us booked in with a matter of minutes and was very friendly and helpful if we wanted to know where things were they helped clean rooms walking distance for everything and lovely restaurant next door I highly recommend this hotel if you're going to Washington
Walking distance to all we were able to do in 2 1/2 days! Love the charm. Lots of restaurants close by as well as one on the property. Bring your own toiletries! There is a hair dryer in the room. We stayed in a king room with a window and enjoyed it. Nice bath tub to soak my aching feet after a long day of walking! I will stay again on a return trip.
Location was great. Hotel staff was friendly. Rate was good. Two separate rooms made it great with children. Easy walking distances to most museums and monuments and close to metro station.
