For me it was all about location. I needed a place that was close to all the site seeing attractions. Hotel Harrington was perfect for that. Walking distance to the white house, Washington monument and Lincoln memorial. Had a hop on Hop off service right outside the hotel. The restaurants downstairs are also super convenient. The hotel is 100+ years old and reflects in the look of the rooms and reception. But that's hardly an issue when all you need is a place to crash and get ready.

By far the biggest selling point of Hotel Harrington is that of it's location. It is as central as you will get within walking distance of all the main sites. As for the hotel itself, although pretty outdated, it is essentially all you need during a busy city break to DC, the beds are comfy, the wifi works and everything is of good quality. Also, the staff are very helpful. Breakfastwise, there is a good selection, but I won't be trying the chipped beef anytime soon!

The location was absolutely fabulous in the parking was very reasonable. The staff was very accommodating. It is an older hotel so rooms are older however it was perfect for the price. We would absolutely stay again

I loved staying at this old hotel! It's over 100 years old, such history and character!! If you stay here, don't miss meandering down the hall to the left of the reservations desk where significant historic events are recorded on the wall detailing from the time the hotel opened through to the present. There's also nifty little display case in this hall with a few artifacts dating from back in the heyday when the hotel first opened. My room on the 9th floor facing 11th street was quiet, except for the occasional sirens when ... read more

Room sizes vary in our group. Some very small, some very large, some in between. Very basic accomodation but very clean & convenient location. Walking distance to White House and museums. Serviced daily.

The hotel is clean and nice. Its in a great location I commuted to and from the Verizon center for business. Some of the staff were helpful and friendly. The only problem I found was it was extremely loud during the evenings but what do you expect for such a central location? Overall a good stay for a cheap price.

I can't describe it is an above-average hotel and yet I really recommend it and will stay again. It may seem contradictory, but let me explain. Everything is just slightly worn and dated, woodwork is over-overpainted, a little paint on some shower tiles was peeled off, and a lot of tour-bus travelers seem to stay here, so there is some hall rowdiness. Sound sketchy? It's absolutely not. Facilities were perfectly adequate and clean, and location is great - in between the White House, Metro Center, the FBI building, and Pennsy... read more
