This is one of the few large and affordable hotels in downtown Washington. It is located minutes from the National Mall, the U.S. Capitol and many museums and attractions. The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

Celebrating their 100th year anniversary, this is an old hotel that hadn't had many upgrades. It's water radiator heating, old plumbing and ventilation, the fire staircase is an old cast iron spiral stair case, and the in room TV is a tube tv. All that said the beds were comfy the sheets and towel clean. Check in and out was very smooth and it's an excellent location.
Booked three nights at the Hotel Harrington, in downtown DC, and thrilled with the location. The hotel is 104 years old, and shows signs of its age. However the chipped paint, dents in the skirting boards and aged elevators are part of the fabric of this hotel, and it's history. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I love hotels that hold your bags for you after checkout. The location is great. I also really appreciate having a mini-fridge available.
