The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

Biggest plus: location, location, location!
From a cost benefit perspective, H H is a five star. But not a place to stay if you are looking for contemporary styling.
The location is so great. You can enjoy walking to white house, smithsonian, us capitol and many more attractions

The AC is always cold, the staff is helpful and the rooms are always clean.

Built in 1917 -- I've stayed here several times. I like the older property, one block off Pennsylvania Ave. It reminds me of some of the older European hotels with smaller rooms, old bath fixtures, steam heat, modest, but comfortable rooms with flat screen TV, mini-fridge, microwave. Very good prices for DC. Friendly staff. Convenient. WiFi needs an update. It worked, but was a bit slow during peak morning and evening usage. I'll stay here again. Hotel is clean and takes pride in its long standing. Dinner was really tasty. Awesome location, comfortable pillows and bed. Would recommend thank you very much.
