This is one of the few large and affordable hotels in downtown Washington. It is located minutes from the National Mall, the U.S. Capitol and many museums and attractions. The very basic accommodations are clean and comfortable. The hotel welcomes group reservations. The suites are great for families.

Clean and reasonable. Best part is walking distance to all major attractions. National mall just a block away. Not the best in facilities, but clean and friendly staff. Stayed for 3 days and enjoyed it. Recommended.
Great location close to the mall and museums Harry's bar is attached to the hotel There is a dinner downstairs and a small gift shop.
Great Location. Walking distance to everything you want to see on the Mall in Washington DC. Lots of Charm for a 100 year old hotel. Remember it is a 100 year old hotel. Old pipes, old décor. Great price for the location.
Loved the location! Loved the nostalgia and history! Our girls had their own room and bathroom adjoining ours. Clean, comfy beds and pillows. City noises didn't bother these country folk! Would definitely stay again if we get to DC again! Within walking distance of the National Mall, White House, US Capitol. Parking is great!

The age of this hotel is apparent, in the size of the elevator, the tile in the bathroom, and the giant porcelain tub. I love the days gone by feel of historic buildings like this, and dont mind not having the latest, slickest amenities, with all that D.C. has to offer. I LOVED being a block from the hardrock cafe, and two blocks from the White House, a block from Metro center, and smack in the middle of some great shopping. The desk staff at Harrington, is Mayberry friendly, and more than willing to be of assistance
My family of 5 were very comfortable with our spacious and clean room which by the way is walking distance to everything you want to do in DC as a tourist. Our "room" was actually 3 rooms connected. There were also 3 full bathrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. If we visit the area again I wouldn't stay anywhere else! The Hotel Harrington has charm only a 100 year old establishment can offer.
We are somewhat familiar with Washington, but we have visitors from Poland who wanted to see DC. We found the Harrington to be a good, basic accommodation, and reasonably priced, at least be Washington standards, and a location close to tour bus stops, and the White House.
