MOST Nurses have been good. Dr was descent. However, I sat in the surgical waiting room for over 2 hours before I called the OR to see what was going on. The nurse in recovery left and never told anybody I was there. They moved her after a couple days to a different room and lost her cell phone charger. Nobody seems to care. They'll be dealing with me until it is found, replaces or they reimburse me for it.... over all not very pleased with them. My mom however, does like the nurses and they've been good to her.

I am completely blown away by the treatment this facility gives. Besides walking in being searched and finger printed you honestly feel unsafe like you may be walking into a prison. They treat anyone who goes in with pain like a junkie and their check in staff was unreal rude as hell! No sympathy or self preservation with this lot. If you decide to choose this as you're hospital to be honest whatever happens should be out on you. I even had both of my children at hamot... But the past few years the place is more like a min s... read more

Nothing ruins a vacation like your two year old son needing stitches. Worse than that is being an ER nurse and not being near your own hospital with staff you know. With that being said I was so happy we went to this ER today. My son received 5 start treatment by Courtney, the nurse, as well as the Resident and Attending. Thy were accommodating, caring and willing to including us in the plan of care for my son. A hurt child is the worst thing a parent can imagine but coming to this ER and having great care made it bearable. ... read more

I had knee replacement surgery two weeks ago, and everyone was wonderful from the start. I was impressed with the efficiency of the pre-op staff, with the surgical and post-op crews, and especially the staff who cared for me over the next few days in hospital. Altogether a great experience!

Idiots at second floor waiting room. Gave me a pager but didn't page me. Gave me a pager for another patient then told me I didn't check in. Don't blame your fucking incompetence on me!

Can't believe how bad care has gotten at UPMC Hamot. Seeing as how my wife before she died was a fabulous nursing supervisor - I think I know something about how care should be. Let's see, my friend's drain from surgery overflowed because the nurses forgot to check them - how pathetic that is. She threw up on self because call after pressing call button, it was almost a half hour before someone came to check on her. Seeing as how she just had surgery and couldn't get up herself, she really had no choice but to vomit on self.... read more
