The Mafia would be proud of what Health Insurance has become in Western PA! The godfather, Guido UMPC, owns the hospital, Hamot. An unending stream of customers are charged whatever the godfather UPMC says they should pay. Guido collects the insurance premiums AND the deductibles from the customers. He takes the money from his right pocket and puts it into his left pocket. Then he sends his thugs to strong-arm collect bills that are two weeks late. Nothing like the Famiglia of Insurance!
I came into the ER this morning with an intensely painful kidney infection. I came to Hamot because I do not trust my more local hospitals and ERs to comprehend my complicated medical history. My attending doctor was a resident and he knew right from the get-go what my condition entailed and the concerns I have. Well done! Hamot!
I have been here since Tuesday its now Saturday I had pancreatitis and bad gall bladder that was removed yesterday when I first got here I was in overflow room wasnt very big but the view was gorgeous and the staff was awesome the next day they gave me a new room on the 6th floor big and comfy the nurses and everyone on this floor are amazing they have been so nice helpful loving kind and funny can't remember everyones names but they have made my stay so easy ive never had surgery in my life and I was scared out of my mind t... read more
Huge thank you to the staff in the ER last night. Came in with serious pain and symptoms from an allergy attack and was treated promptly and respectfully. Special thank you to Nurse Alyssa and Doctor Shuppe who were amazingly nice!
