Hammett House started operations in 1969 after almost 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Mrs. LaNelle Hammett. Now, after another 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Linda and Bill Biard we bring a remodeled, yet similar, Hammett House. Our goals are simple. We want to provide our guests with fine food, expertly served in a restful atmosphere, with plenty of "Southwestern Style" hospitality. Our menu is neither extensive nor expensive, but everything we do...we try to do extremely well!

I have never eaten there before yesterday. Ordered the alligator and shrimp, server was nice, kept our glasses filled, food came quickly and tasted great. Their pies looked really good and I was looking forward to having a piece, unfortunately they seated us where I could see the guy doing the pies and salad. I work in food service and after watching everything he did, I couldn't eat the pie. My husband and I were in town setting up our booth for the Ruffles and Rust expo. By the time we were done we were famished and ready for a good meal. We googled local restaurants and this AMAZING place popped up. We both had the catfish diners. Everything was so delicious! Wish we would have saved room for a piece of pie. One slice would feed the 2 of us easily! Oh and the staff were all super sweet and very inviting! And the place was very clean! Hope to be down that way again soon! Next time I'm getting that pie!!
Hammett House in Claremore Oklahoma is the best ever restaurant .Went there for my birthday dinner ! They keep it original, consistent with the menu items !

I have been going here for years. This day was graduation day, yet the wait wasn't long and I never had to ask the waitress to bring me anything. I had fried shrimp and they were large and flavorful. I never ran out of tea, and my Mother didn't have to ask for more water. Truly a fine experience in a very busy day.
Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere. Would recommend it to everyone.
My husband and I were visiting from the north Texas area and we are so glad our friends took us to eat here. It was absolutely delicious, such a relaxed atmosphere, great service and the amazing pie was the crown jewel! Wonderfully made home style cooking....can't beat it! We can't wait to visit again!
