About this business
Hammett House started operations in 1969 after almost 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Mrs. LaNelle Hammett. Now, after another 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Linda and Bill Biard we bring a remodeled, yet similar, Hammett House. Our goals are simple. We want to provide our guests with fine food, expertly served in a restful atmosphere, with plenty of "Southwestern Style" hospitality. Our menu is neither extensive nor expensive, but everything we do...we try to do extremely well!

Had my birthday dinner there, Sunday and it was delicious as always.
I just want to say how impressed I am with Hammett House. We had a problem with our to go order and didn't realize it until we got home. We called and Bill answered I told him the issue and he insisted on my address and brought us a whole new meal plus 2 desserts. I didn't want that I just wanted him to be aware. You won't get that anywhere!!!! Thank you!

I LOVE the food there! Especially the matzo ball soup and the apple pie!!
We had the country fried steak and cat fish meals. The chicken soup was very savory. The salad with the house dressing was wonderful. Catfish wasn't fishy tasting, but fresh as it was fluffy and juicy without being greasy. The county fried steak was oh my gosh good.
