About this business
Hammett House started operations in 1969 after almost 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Mrs. LaNelle Hammett. Now, after another 20 years of "dreaming and planning" on the part of Linda and Bill Biard we bring a remodeled, yet similar, Hammett House. Our goals are simple. We want to provide our guests with fine food, expertly served in a restful atmosphere, with plenty of "Southwestern Style" hospitality. Our menu is neither extensive nor expensive, but everything we do...we try to do extremely well!

The food was absolutely delicious! This was our first visit to Hammett House, but it won't be our last! Our server was Cindy and she was friendly and attentive, even though she was very busy. Kudos to Cindy!! Great food, great service, clean establishment, and warm atmosphere ! Loved it!

We were in town for a dance competition and happened upon this place, thanks to being number 1 on Trip Advisor. The food was really good, best friend green tomatoes I've had in a long time. Will definitely eat here the next time I'm in town.

The alligator bites were cooked to perfection, and the shrimp plate offered, large shrimp and sides that were more than plentiful. We left there stuffed, with no room for dessert.
