I have my mortgage on my condo thru guild mortgage. Two months ago I renewed my property insurance which my insurance company faxed to guild. Today I got a letter my property insurance is not active. First of all yes it is and second my insurance company faxed it to the fax number YOU gave them. The best part? This same thing happened last year. FFS, you guys need to learn how to use a fax machine.

If I could rate Guild Mortgage Company any higher than five stars, I would. I have never worked with a company with such kind and compassionate employees that truly care about their customers. From the initial buying process to general inquiries and hardship assistance, we have had nothing but excellent interactions and experiences.
Been with this company two years and never missed a payment. I’ve always paid online and apparently it didn’t go through in July. Instead of calling me and leaving a voicemail telling me I’m late seeing how I’ve never missed a payment, they decide to report to my credit instead of me. It cost me 115 point credit score drop for that hit. I think it is terrible customer service to do that to someone without warning. They claimed they called and I didn’t answer. I have dealt with Guild Mortgage for almost 4 years. Most of my customer interactions with them have been fine. I would never rate them as an exceptional company. In December, 2017 I made a payment on their web portal while traveling. Guild told us they would release remainder of insurance money to fix basement, then only sent half and told us it has to be 100 percent complete and inspected before they will release the remainder. We can no longer hire our contractor because he wants 3 forths up front and the rest the day of completion. We have been told several differfent things that deviate completely from what they sent in writing. Guild can not be trusted. Told us several different things about receiving insurance re bursement. We were told remaining funds would be released after inspection on basement 50 percent complete. Only received a portion and now we have to come up with 2800.00 to have basement finished then inspected again. We have Been told so many things that differ from the policy that we can not trust anything they tell us! We dont mind the inspections but we have put over 30 grand in 2 years fixing property.
