If there was a zero for the customer service **** in San **********************, That's what they would get! I needed to take over my dad's account after he passed in sept 2021. I called in October to explain my situation & that I would be late with his mortgage payment. I called on 10/16 & was transferred to 3 different people before I got the answers I needed. I had the unfortunate experience of my house burning down about a month ago. After dealing with my insurance company, I was provided a check on Monday morning to pay off my mortgage with the balance to provide funds to begin replacing basic things like beds and coats. I contacted Guild directly by phone about the check and its purpose, and was instructed to overnight it to a specific address. I did so. Too bad negative ratings arent allowed. Was trying to refinance a mortgage already with them. The agent was straight up dishonest multiple times and when pressed, got angry with me. After looking into it I found she continued to be dishonest about points charges and tried to conceal that. I canceled as I dont do business with people who attempt to deceive you. After 4 months and 3 extensions they denied us for a mortgage. A month later we got a mortgage for $10000 more. They are ***** and unpleasant. It took us weeks for us to get out down payment back. Do not deal with them

I would give 0 if I had the option. We have been working with guild mortgage for the past 2 months getting a home loan everything seemed to be good, asked 2 days before we sold our home and was told yes. 3 days after we sold our home the loan officer said we didnt qualify because I got a new job and my offer letter wasnt good enough. We were moving 4 hours away. We are currently now homeless with 2 kids, our pets being boarded at the vet. We also have to sell our cattle and horses. I was looking on the Nevada housing division website at home mortgage programs and Guild Mortgage was first on the list for the Home is Possible program. Donna **B****** was the loan officer that I got. This was by far the WORST experience I have EVER had. She was condescending and rude and extremely judgemental. She asked me why I have child support on my credit and then said "ya, I'm going to have to decline your application." Was recommended a lender here by a realtor. Made an account on their website and created a mortgage application. Someone pulls my credit the next day. No one contacts me. I tried using the account status update feature and listed my contact details to get someone from the mortgage team to reach out to me, no answer. AVOID this company. We completed all Tasks required by the Magnotta team at Guild Mortgage. Due to weeks of delay on their part, we missed an opportunity to secure a lower interest rate. At no time during the process did they offered assistance or advice during the process. We initiated the refinancing through them because our original mortgage was with Guild. The agent with whom we dealt on the original loan left the company. Unfortunately, her replacement was not up to task.

This place cost me to lose $4,200 by lying or being incompetent. My mortgage was pulled the day before closing after it was said to be approved. I lost $600 for inspection, $600 for appraisal and $3,000 in earnest money. We were set to close on 1/21/21. On the 19th I was asked to provide about a dozen more documents , after I was supposedly already vetted and conditionally qualified. They then ended my closing date and cost me to not only lose the house, but cost me $4,200 of my hard earned money from them being either liars... read more
