Worst experience of my life, I’ve only had Griddy for 16 days and I’ve already been charged over $300, and my house is tiny, only 800 sq ft. Biggest rip off of my life, I hope they get sued
In theory it's awesome, but not until they can prevent these high price jumps that are completely unaffordable and cause unnecessary stress. I spend more time messing with my air conditioner and checking electricity prices than enjoying life. Even with our air turned completely off in the afternoon Griddy charged us $301.92 between August 1-15. Thankfully we got switched this morning before another day of $100 electricity. Not a great idea....
$200 in one day with no lights on and ac set to 77. This is beyond ridiculous!! First few days were great $6 max a day.. 15 days in and Bill is over $700😭 can’t wait for new plan to start!! Never had a bill this high in August!!
it's a trap fraudulent activity
my bill is up to $395 . i have never payed that much ever . they keep on recharging my account today they did it 3 times . i need a refund . no-one will answer the phone or emails . total scam
Uncontrollable extreme price spikes are not financially supportable by a majority of typical consumers. I joined July 24, 2019, and luckily realized to bail out 8/14, after spending $75 on the last 2 days worth of power.
I really like the Griddy concept. I don't recommend Griddy because if customers do not understand the power market and risk associated with the wholesale, they can really get hurt financially. Like what's happening now with all the $9/kwh hours. If you can't handle the volatility, try to find a fix plan use https://bitly.com/2xGymzk
