They are running around telling everyone their rates lately are “15.2 cents” Try again. My rate for the month of August is 33.5 cents. My bill so far for slightly over half the month is $645.51 for 1,928 kWh. I don’t have the money to pay this and will have to let it ride on my credit card till I can pay it off. I shouldn’t have to do that for an electric bill. They say this has only ever happened “once” till this month. And I’m sure it will happen “again”. Goodbye Griddy. Wow just wow... run... Monday $70 dollars Tuesday $155 wed $34 and Thursday $177.00 total for 4 days $400 dollars and the week is not over yet. They are not actually charging you real usage either its an estimated so good luck turning off your AC and saving any money. #wheresthemoneygo #byegriddy
Their cancellation process is just sign up with an energy company and they will notify Griddy so they stop. Does anyone know how long that takes since Griddy won't let you remove your credit card without replacing it with another one? Like everyone else, complete RIP OFF. My account recharged 4x in one month.
It seems like I’m not the only one suckered into this energy company. We signed up late Wednesday 8/14 and were charged around $14. Not bad. Thursday 8/15, we were chard almost $150! FOR. ONE. DAY. Sure, sometimes we got 1-2 cents per kWh, but around 2pm to 7pm, it would get up to $9 per kWh! We’ve switched already after a day and a half. This is a scam in every single way. There is NO WAY Griddy is saving anyone money doing it this way. Back to Reliant. Griddy should be shut down for doing ‘business’ this way.
Absolutely the worst business model for delivering electricity. My bill for August for just half the mo the month so far is over $400, which includes 2 days with of electricity at $100 each. No amount of savings offered through the year will make up for this atrocious month. This is all considering that the power was out for half of the day. My total usage was only 51kwh. Have fun with the lawsuits Griddy.
stop ripping people off
Absolutely not! I’ve already paid $428 and it’s only Aug 16. I’ve paid up to up to $7 per kWh this is ridiculous. Oh and I also pay 2 kWh at night only. Don’t do it! I am getting screwed.
They claim to save you money but price spikes are insane. I had the AC on for a few hours during a spike and got charged $70 for four hours of usage. Yesterday, with $9/kWh I had to shut off everything in my apartment, in the heat of the day. I sat in the dark with no ac or wifi for four hours. I work from home with my dog, this is just not okay.
Absolutely ridiculous. Called the other day and talked with Demetrius who laughed the whole conversation. Laugh about us being upset and laughed more about everyone else calling and being upset too. So glad your customers suffering is hilarious. Should of dropped you immediately. Tried calling multiple times today and now they won’t answer their phones.
