I paid $1.95 for this card at CVS and cashier loaded it with $20 cash. When I came home and tried to register it online, it wouldn't let me - said the card was "invalid". I tried tweeting the company, private messaging on facebook, called the only 2 numbers that they had available, and nothing - nada - no one! There is no tech support, and no one at the other end. What a RIP off. I had Direct Deposit through my employer, Sally beauty. A deposit was posted to my Green Dot card for $1072.27. I went to withdrawal the money and all of a sudden there's no money in the account. They claim my employer didn't put an account number on my direct deposit so it was put in some sort of suspense account and they'd have research it. I used to really enjoy their services. That changed in the past 24 hours. They have $500 of my money that I have attempted numerous times to load onto one of their cards. I've called customer service twice and been put on hold for more than 30 minutes both times. I was told I just have to wait for technical support to call me. In the mean time they have my money and aren't doing anything to help me get it back. I put my money to pay for my lights in the vault on my account only to try to get it and i can not and they refused to do any thing

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I have almost $1000 in my savings vault and due to "technical difficulties" they won't release my funds to me. I don't have gas, and it is two weeks before Christmas. This is absurd. They need to get it fixed immediately or I will be leaving their bank.

You do not even deserve a star you have a deposit but you won't apply it to my balance. I will never **** with anything green dot again. You are the dirtiest supposed to be Bank I have come across. Nothing good comes from filth and dirt but dust

0 Stars. Scam!! An account fraudulently opened with my stolen ID info. I can't get a human to close the account. Hours of attempting to resolve this have led to NOTHING ACCOMPLISHED! And they keep trying to get me to give them my social security number to resolve this???? Really!!

Using the prepaid Debit card/Checking account was not a bad experience when used as an alternative to a brick-and-mortar bank, until you try to get additional services. I was having a good experience until I signed up for the Platinum credit card (from the Green Dot Debit/Checking website) and went to pay my bill. You cannot pay Green Dot Platinum using Green Dot Debit/Checking unless you withdraw cash and pay at an approved store with an additional $4.95 fee.
