My date of birth was entered incorrectly when setting up an account. When I try to call either their automated system or their phone representatives for help with my account, they refuse to help me on the basis that the date of birth doesn't match. I have NO idea what date of birth could have possibly been entered. They have absolutely no other way to verify my identity or to correct my account information. This bank is a scam and joke
SCAM! I was given a "gift card" as a gift that I had to register with Green Dot in order to use. When I registered, a huge fee was assessed, just for registering! By the time I got to the store to try and use it, all the money was gone. Now, I am informed that fees have continued to be assessed and I OWE them money in order to close this account!!! So not only did my friend waste her money purchasing the card I never got to use, I now must spend more money to be done with them!!! AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the worst financial institution I have ever worked with. They now owe me a total of $1800 on an account they froze based on a small charge to my card which I expressed concern about. However, it has been 2 weeks, and they continue to hold onto my paycheck funds, which are the remaining $1800. My mother thought this was a gift card and gave it to me for Christmas. To activate it I had to give them all my personal information and they then opened an account for me and sent me a personalized card that I did not want. Possibly the worst company I've EVER tried to do business with. Truly unreal and an absolute scam. Be careful travelers, they require the SAME information as a bank would to use their 'non bank' pre-paid cards. In other words if you purchase one of their predatory products, you'll need a SS # etc... AVOID. PS: I just scrolled some of the other reviews?!? MARY J. DENT you need to fix this asap! This company is a scam. I was contacted stating I was eligible for a loan but required a 250.00 security deposit in Google Play cards. After doing so, (which was stupid) I was told I had to pay an additional 495.00 dollars to receive the loan. They cannot provide any documentation until I pay them again before they will release my funds.
