9.95$ monthly fee not disclosed during account signup. I discovered it when my primary bank initiated a trial deposit to the Green Dot account in order to link both banks. Immediately after the trial deposits posted, Green Dot posted the fee to my account causing it to go negative. Technical support phone number reaches an automated system asking for card number. Someone opened an account with a GoBank card (owned by the Green Dot Corp), stole personal information of an employee and had their paycheck direct deposited to their account. When the employee called to find out the information, they said there was no such account, then no name tied to the account then that their name wasn't tied to the account. I hate writing this because this company has already wasted enough of my time. However, people need to be warned about a company they deal with. In the middle of nowhere I ran out of gas due to an apparently faulty gas gauge. Only 23 degrees outside and the closest gas station maybe 6 miles back. No money on my Walmart debit card (bank = Greendot), so I called a friend located about 60 miles away. He quickly went to a Dollar General to purchase a MoneyPak (Greendot) refill card for $20. I wish their was an option to not provide a star at all!!!! First of all everyone is foreign and never seems to understand your questions or complaints they come up with their own assumptions as of to what to what your talking about instead of listening!!! 0 Stars. Someone gave me a prepaid card as a gift. By the time I used it, most of the balance was gone through their monthly "maintenance fees." They required my name, address, SSN, and DOB to give me any info, the customer service person was barely able to speak or understand English, and it left me fearful that my identity was be stolen. This company is awful.
Like others if I could leave a O Stars I would. Christmas Eve! Did not get my direct deposit! Can't get a person on the phone. No dinner for Christmas Eve! They should be ashamed of themselves!
They have taken $461.68 from me. Absolutely no help talking to their so called ' specialists. 'I've been put on hold for 30 minutes on 3 different occasions now. I've been hung up on. This is absolutely absurd.
Gobank gave me a credit of $73 but that's not the amount that I am disputingI am owed over $360 They refused to provide me with my credit so Monday morning I will be filing a lawsuit in small claims court with my attorney Do not get a GoBank account because they will not refund you your money I am on able to pay my bills because they refused to pay me the full amount
THE WORST COMPANY ! I had a card with them through GoBank. I used the card for a instant advance. When I go to use my card it's blocked. I call and they said it's blocked because it came up in the system as a refund once I explained it was a instant advance they told me to send info in . I did .
