The customer service sucks, can barely understand anyone the connect is BAD. I disputed one charge in my card and the locked my whole account and tried to hold my paycheck. On the app it said my account would be looked for 2 days. It's been months. And I've been getting notifications EVERYDAY saying I need to fix my account. No one in their customer service department is competent enough to figure this situation out. The Bank is called GO2bank, NEVER AGAIN.

Please save yourself the hassle. I have filed a complaint with the Federal reserve of San Francisco. I would not even rate them one star. They stole 764.39 from me and refuse to give it back. My account was set up so every transaction automatically show on my phone. They froze my account on June 2,,2021. I called customer service they said my account was frozen for suspicious activity. I made a purchase on Costco online. Within two hours Costco canceled my order because the item was no longer in stock. Costco does not take the money they just placed a hold on the funds. They immediately released the hold. The next day I contacted Green Dot and they told me it would be about a week before they would release my funds back to me. It's "policy" they told me. If I could give this business a ZERO, I would. Highly do not recommend. Bought a green dot card for a white elephant present during Christmas thinking it was a gift card. Once I realized it wasn't a gift card, I looked up how to cancel the card. It says to close the account it needs to be at a zero balance and have no activity on it. My card had a zero balance and I had not used it since June 2. Today, June 22, I logged into the app to see if the account is closed. There was a -$7.95 balance. I bought a card and right away I was told it was hacked. They won't take my calls. I emailed them a month ago. As far as I can see they ripped me off.

I am being charged $7.95 for this card.They said its a monthly fee but even time i go to use it its in the negative amount that I owe them. Buyer be ware.! There should be a Lawsuit on them

Horrible company!!!! Do NOT use them!! I filed my taxes and had my refund sent to a greendot card and as soon as the refund was sent they froze the card said because was over 30 days since had any activity and the amount was over $1,000 they needed a copy of my driver's license. The app wouldn't let me upload so I called customer service and was given an email address. I emailed front and back of my license and was then told it would take 24-48 hours and card would be un froze. I of course complained ! I checked the app next... read more
