This place is very low down! Held my dispute up over two almost three months. When I finally reached someone they assured me my money would be refunded back to me, gave me a reference number to have if I needed to call back. For anything. As my case was not done!! This was today on a Saturday! May 14th 2021. 3 hours later, I was informed by another greendot rep that my case has been closed and no action will be taken!!!! Smfh. I'm not done with them just yet.

I have been a customer of them since 1999. I had never had a problem until now. I ask for a replacement card. I got the card but on top.of it i get a security lock. Sent info they say 2 business days. Now they are.saying i can no longer use their bank. Something stinks. Also i got a dispute on my account that i did not do. I cannot get a hold of no one. Poor service..

Horrible in every aspect, customer service, integrity, honesty. This Bank is the worse I have ever come across, businesses doing business with them be very careful. Turbo Tax does business with them and now I will not be a good word of mouth for turbo tax ever again. Green Dot Bank is regulated by the San Francisco federal reserve bank. Go to federalreserveconsumerhelp.gov to make a complaint against them if necessary.

I truly believe this financial operation is a scam. A friend of mine put $300 on a card and sent it to me for emergency expenses such as food. I activated the card in my name and attempted to use it. The account was immediately locked and I'm still not sure why. It said suspicion of fraud. They asked me to verify my identity by submitting pictures of my license which I have done at least 30 times and every single time it says the documents were not legible. They don't allow you to deposit $ unless you give them your Bank Sign In information, believe me they are a very dishonest corporation, don't give them your bank account sign in..They just add fees and there is no way to close your account...Very dishonest.

I had a deposit go on an old card in error (Mastercard), I had a current card already (Visa), found out I could not just transfer balances between my own accounts (under my ssn and birthdate), 1st red flag, what ever. So I order the missing card to access my money that was deposited. This has been since March 2, it is now May 10th. I have called and chatted on the website with their support only to be told the card is coming, over and over again. this is a terrible company when it comes to resolve any issues cause by them...I had a transaction declined by then having more than enough money on the card and even when I told then on the phone that I wanted to approve the the transaction they make me wait for approval I had never seen a financial institution so incompetent that this I will recommend any one not to do business with then

QuickBooks made the mistake in using Green Dot for banking services. They provide a debit card so you can use for easy tracking and paying of bills and expenses. Convenient right? WRONG! First they shipped the card to the wrong address, cancel and wait again for another card. Activate the card which is ready for "immediate use" and declined. Wait about an hour or so and again denied. Called in and everything is "fine" on the account as card is active, funds are in bank so they have to submit an approval for this transaction ... read more

Horrible and incompetent company. They should be shut down and not allowed to operate anywhere in the entire world.
