On 4/28/21 I purchased a Green Dot Debit Card from the Rite Aid Store in Lancaster NY (XXXXX). I had the card loaded with $50 and intended to use this card for personal purchases. However, I have made several attempts to enroll and activate this card for 5 days, but have not had any luck. I have tried the Web Site and continually receive a Red Warning that states, "Sorry! Green dot has taken monies from my account a few times. Last month they have taken 877.00 that the state given me. This company is not trustworthy. I don't have overdraft, they never often it to me even if they did I wouldn't take it because I only spent what I put in any account. They're not honest people and I don't like the way they conduct business. I reported them to social security for taking my spousal support money along with other monies.

I got a refund for a purchase and they decided it was fraud and locked up my account and wont release me 1200 from account untill i satify what they want. I gave them all the documentation i could get and then some but still not good enough. Thats the only money i have and it was for my rent, im on verge of loosing everything and this company it just taking its time with complete nonsense

I received funds to my account along with my pay check last Wednesday round 7 a.m. 4 hours later I tried to log in my mobile Walmart money card app and I was blocked I called customer service and was told to upload my ID front and back.. I did so the same day so Friday I called they told me to call back the following Monday I called back Monday they received my ID but couldn't confirm my identity. I was so excited about the Green Dot card. I thought it would be a safe way to make instore and online purchases for myself and family. little did I know that I would be robbed by the very company that I thought would protect me! Every time that I used my card instore and online, I was charged a $1.50 transaction fee for each purchase. I was charged an inactivity fee of $9+ when I could not locate my card. Green dot refuses to give me my stimulus money. I never signed up for the card and they requested documentation and I sent it to them when I call now they hang up immediately or do not answer my calls at all. They refuse to send me a check or a card. My stimulus was deposited on March 17, 2021 and now they have completely cut off all communication with me and continue to charge me 7$ a month in fees. I just want my money. I do not understand how the government works with a fraudulent company.

Green Dot card is so defective I have had my card locked since March I want to say between they will not unlock my card I ordered another card to replace that I have 129 dollars on Green Dot card I have wrote them they will not respond all I want is my money and for them to close this account. Our aunt who is 85 years old purchased Green Dot cards as gifts for our children thinking they were Visa "gift" cards. The largest letters on the packaging state "Prepaid Visa". Then in the smallest font on the top left corner it states "Not a Gift Card". Upon receipt of these cards, we found out that we needed to provide our personal information in order to open an account to use the cards. This is the worst card to get on the marketplace today. They have the worst customer service experience I've ever had to deal with in my life. I had a phone stolen and they got access to my funds which to my surprise the credited back to my account with no real way to actually get to then funds. They show there credited to my account but there is restrictions on the account where I can't access those funds.
