Horrible customer service. The only way to contact the company is through social media. They do not have an email address. The email they send to you are not monitored. I purchased two $500 money paks to apply money to my new debit card. I followed all of the instructions. I was able to create a secure login and was prompted to upload identification. Green dot stole almost $600 from my account. When I called I told the lady I was recording and she threatened to hang up on me. Walmart gave me authorization codes and the lady lied and said Walmart still hadn't refunded the money back onto my account. Walmart would not lie and give me authorization codes and risk their reputation or losing a customer. Effectively stole $505.95 from me. No customer service to speak of except unhelpful robots. Without a doubt the worst experience I've had with any company ever.

I added 70 dollars to a pre paid card they told me I didn't activate it correctly. What was incorrect? We dont know they said.well can I activate. No because you already activated. Well I can't use it. You can only use it in person. No online purchases or cash back. Ok so if I use it in person it had to be activated in my name. No refunds and they took 8 dollars off of it. Was 70 now its 62 I made no transactions

NEGATIVE 5 STARS IF I COULD Obvious fraudulent charges totaling in $689.47 were made on my card from Berlin, Germany. I reported this to GoBank and was told they called the merchant who made these unauthorized charges, and was told the charges were valid. Are you serious?! That's like asking a robber if he did the crime and a simple "No" gets him off scott free. This card is a rip off avoid getting any green dot product it is very expensive and they charge your for evetything. I have tried different cards recently I loaded my card for the first time and was charged a $10 fee the card balance became negative I was not aware of the charge so I called was not able to speak with any English speaking reps and was charged another fee just for calling to inquire about balance I have accrued several unknown charges they call service charges I have great credit I used prepaid to keep my kids... read more

Green dot currently offers Inutuit prepaid cards - but does not allow you to create an account. After a week of fighting both Green Dot and Intuit, I finally determined that GreenDot will neither release my tax return to me, nor allow me access to the account, as well as having allowed my identity to be stolen. Their solution? Supply more documentation to an unsecured email to prove who I was so they could research it.
