Looks like Green Dot Corporation makes a habit out of stealing from their customers. I have bought Moneypaks before with no problems. In fact, I used the same profile that I used the last time I bought one when everything worked out fine. This time I put $400, every penny I had on this Moneypak so I could pay my electric & part of my mortgage payment. They asked for a picture of my ID & I sent it. They asked me for another picture. Turbo card under the Green Dot Corp!! I've been waiting 4 weeks for my card! The number 1*888*285*4169 hasn't had a human available for 2 weeks! Call the number if you don't believe me! I have 5000 dollars on my account and sleeping on relatives floor! Im totally disgusted
I have had a dispute with Green Dot for 3 days now. I purchased my card and deposited 1000 dollars to pay bills. I then decided to order a permanent card and direct deposit my payroll to it. Since my payroll has been deposited to my card the account has been suspended for further review for what they say is "suspicious activity" After repeated phone calls and emailing requested information I still don't have access to the funds my employer direct deposited to the card. Greendotmoney card has blocked my card, I have gave ALL documents and they said it would take five business day, well it has been six and they still have not wven reviewed my documents. I am on social security and disablied and about to be kicked out of my apartment. None of the repa I have talked to have showed remorse or considerTion for my situation. I'd give them 0 stars if I could!! Yet another story of OBVIOUS fraudulent charges and them doing absolutely nothing!! I followed their instructions and sent in my dispute form despite doing it already over the phone with a rep who ASSURED me it would be corrected. Zero stars really. They are listed as an option on TurboTax for a refund. My parents accidentally selected this option to receive their refund. They have not received their card yet. I have tried to call to have my general questions answered. There is no option to speak to someone without purchasing a card. The BBB was able to provide me with a number that eventually got me to a human. I tried to explain the situation, which she did not understand, and without further communication put me into an automated system. Horrible c... read more
I received my 1st direct deposit this morning and they placed a "block" on my account. They said I cannot access my funds until I send in my ID and check stub. Once I provide them with those documents they said it will be 2 business days until I can access the account. I never would have used this company had I known they would not let me access my money. I'm a single mother with two kids and bills with deadlines. I am infuriated with this company and would never recommend them to anyone.
If I could leave lease than one star, I would. This is a scam of a company, DO NOT USE THEM. They prey on people and make it so difficult to use their service that they are practically stealing your money. My parents loaded money to a MoneyPak card and then tried several times to move the money to a bank card. The process states to claim 30 seconds but that is a lie. Horrible company!!! I had my paycheck direct deposited into my account and it has been blocked every since. It worked fine with small deposits, however after depositing over $1400 they need to verify my information and secure the funds. Its been almost two weeks since I could withdraw funds.
