I will never deal with this company again! It is nothing more than a scam in disguise. When you attempt to activate the card, they automatically tell you they are "upgrading" you to their unlimited cash back debit card & bank account. All I wanted to do was activate the card to use the money that had been placed on it, but there was no way to do this without accepting their "upgraded" feature. The Green Dot secured credit card is the most pathetic card in existence. It's a crapshoot as to if it will work on any given transaction, and the customer service is an act of God to get through to a human for assistance. Stay AWAY from this joke of a company as they are NOT COMPETENT nearly enough to be trusted with your money!

Absolutely terrible! How the heck do these people have an A+ rating with over 220 one star reviews!?! I received a $50 "gift card" as a present and I had to give up nearly all my personal info just to register the card so I could spend it. After I spent it in a single shopping trip, they sent me a credit card I didn't ask for and I receive an email and a text from them nearly every **** day! Please whatever you do never use this card. They are nothing but a bunch of scammers that want to hold your money. I am going to sue them. They claim they don't know the number to their corporate office. No one speaks English. It is really bad. I will never recommend anyone to them.

After purchasing card, I couldn't use it because it needed to be registered. They ask for personal info like SS# and date of birth. When you call, all you get is a recording. It's impossible to talk to a human. I am trying to close this account, and it's not giving me an option. How is does this company have an A+ rating and how are they still in business? They are stealing money. I'm really giving it no stars.

Greendot never refund me back and they took fee out which I never use the card at all. I want my refund back to me before they take more fee out for monthly.

Got a 200 debit card Cant be used Theres no way to get in touch with customer service. Cant register the card. Their automated line cuts you off... never takes you to a live person to resolve issues. I tried several numbers and various different inputs... none work. BBB really rates them A?

I am the one of many with a complaint. The customer service in INEPT at best. I am appalled at the lack of techical knowledge and customer service from a banking institution. " Greendot.com " is your email address ? really ? That did it for me... Im out ...gone. I dont care about the refund, just dont look for me to ever do business with you again ! ! !

I am past upset with this company, NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A GREEN DOT CARD! Please dont do this to yourself! Ill tell anyone who will listen. I have been trying for 5 days now to activate this stupid card. Buy website, by the app, by the phone, i used the chat and i could not get ahold of anyone by phone other than an automated machine which did not help, until today i found a loop hole to talk to an actual person after 5 days and i could barely understand her accent, she was completely incopentent and kept asking the same q... read more
